The collins

I was so nervous, I was on my way to the Collins home in order to start my new job there as a governess to young David. I had never expected to get the job as I don't really have much experience to be honest and this was a bit of a shot in the dark, however to my surprise I was told I got the job and that I would start on Monday morning 7:00 sharp.

It was now 6:00am and I was still about an hour away on the train I peered out the window to see the bright sun glaring back at me, I was overjoyed and couldn't wait to get there!

As I got to the train station a woman with beautiful blonde hair called my name I turned around and looked her way I walked up to her and she introduced herself to me "hi you must be y/n I'm Elizabeth" I replied " yes that's me lovely to meet you Elizabeth" we both smiled at each other and I followed her to an expensive looking car we both got in and began the 30 minute drive to the Collins house.

After what seemed like hours we finally arrived I felt so nervous what if they didn't like me ? What if I make a bad first impression? I thought but my thoughts were soon interrupted by the sound of loud music.

Elizabeth walked towards the music as I followed behind her it was coming from a room inside was a young woman "Carolyn..... CAROLYN!" Elizabeth shouted "what ?" Carolyn replied "I'd like you to meet y/n she will be David's new governess" "hi Carolyn" I said with a shy voice as Carolyn looked me up and down. "You look cool I think we'll get along" Carolyn said in a welcoming manner.

Elizabeth then proceeded to walk towards the living room inside sat a young boy no older than 7 or 8 "David this is y/n she will be you're new governess" Elizabeth said with a smile. "Hi y/n nice to meet you" David replied "hi David!" I said in a cheerful tone.

Elizabeth then turned to me "dinner will be ready shortly you should go freshen up and you can meet everyone else at dinner" she said while directing me to my room " here's you're room" she said " Thank you it looks wonderful" I said clearly shocked by the size of the room. I decided to take Elizabeth's advice and go freshen up I went into the bathroom re touched my makeup and hair and changed into an outfit ready for dinner.
