"Hey y/n ready for dinner ?" I heard a soft voice speak through the closed door of my room "yes I'll be down in a moment thank you !" I replied "ok see you in a minute" Elizabeth said.
As I took my seat at the table I looked around feeling a little intimidated. David and Elizabeth were sitting eating their food whilst Carolyn danced oddly to her music in the corner of the room. At the end of the table was a strange looking man one who I hadn't yet met he looked up at me smiling and "good evening my name is Barnabus Collins and you're name ma'm?" "Y/n" I replied nervously "never have I seen such a beautiful creature" said Barnabus I blushed slightly not knowing how to take compliments.
I then heard a voice from the doorway "shut the damn curtains" I turned to see a woman around 30 in a beautiful dress outlining her perfect figure with bright orange hair, sunglasses that were far too big and a glass with what seemed to be some form of alcohol inside.
"Watch you're language" Elizabeth stated. "And who the hell is this?" The woman questioned "this is y/n she will be David's new governess" Elizabeth explained "y/n this is Dr Julia Hoffman" Elizabeth said. "Nice to meet you Dr Hoffman" I replied with a warm smile on my face "yeah I guess" she replied obviously unbothered.
We finished dinner and washed up and by that time it was getting late, I decided to go to my room to finish unpacking and getting ready for bed when I heard a knock... I looked over at my door "come in" I said warmly "I'm sorry for earlier maybe I was a little harsh" Julia said "oh, no need to worry no hard feelings" I giggled softly "alright then goodnight y/n" "goodnight Dr Hoffman" I said and soon enough i had fallen straight to sleep.
