Stay silent.
Move slow.
Your slender hands moved along the walls of an alleyway, making little to no sound. Your mind panicked, but you stayed calm to assess the situation.
Currently, you were running from the millionth squad of law enforcement that have been trying to contain you. You've never gone to prison; they haven't ever caught you. You were a slick criminal, always resorting to stealth so no one knew exactly what you looked like or how you sounded. It was a much better tactic than shooting up a place, anyhow.
Shooting people was never your thing, and never would be. Taking someone's life never results in anything good, unless it's ultimately necessary. That doesn't mean you don't have a huge kill-count, however. You've always been good with a knife, and practiced with a gun, but your only goal was to get in a place, kill who you needed to, and get out.
The moon was waning, shining minimum light your way and guiding your way home. You were reaching the end of the alleyway, the opening already calling out to you. You saw a lamppost by the sidewalk and quickly moved to go under it, blending in with the crowd.
The air was cold, and there was a light breeze. You passed neon signs that flickered, nearly drained of life, but still serving their purpose.
If only the shop owners would spend more money on the decorations, maybe people wouldn't be so afraid to go into a gas station.
You were distracted, stopping to look at the curious little gas station that stood out in the street.
At the last second, you turned around and realized that a thermal video drone was following you from the alleyway. In an effort to run away, you found yourself inside the gas station. The employee at the front desk was just as shocked as you, but there was no time to stand in awe at each other.
You sped through the small allies, hiding behind shelves, not used to the sudden light disrupting your stealth. In the next instant, you were stressed, running from a SWAT team. You could run fast, but never faster than a car filled with people trying to contain you.
Your feet carried you into a different alleyway in a desperate attempt to hide away, but it was too late. Invisible Pixels filed over your body, hiding your figure in a final last attempt to shuffle away.
Thinking that you lost them, you turn around and quietly chuckle, but trip over some loose cans on the ground, losing your footing while trying to land back down.
Falling over, the team jolts around and grabs your now-visible body.
And now, I'm on this boat.
Good thing you didn't have severe motion sickness because, boy, that would be an issue while being chained to the literal wall.
I didn't even get a chance in court. Those little asses.
