Part 2: The Secret

The next day

Betty's pov: I had just woke up to the smell of Hermione cooking breakfast downstairs. I got up and got dressed I put some concealer over the hickeys so Veronica wouldn't see, then I took my birth control and went downstairs and I seen Veronica and Jughead sitting down at the table on their phones, so I went and sat across from Jughead. As soon as I sat down he looked up at me and smirked . [J] "Hey ponytail." He said in a mocking voice, I rolled my eyes and smirked. Veronica looked up at us and gave us a weird look. [V] " Why are you looking at each other like that?" [B] "Like what." I said trying not to seem suspicious. [V] " Never mind." Hermione walked up to the table and sat down a fresh plate of pancakes and a new bottle of maple syrup. [H] " Good morning Betty how did you sleep?" [B] "Oh, I slept well thanks for having me." [H] " Anytime." Jughead and Veronica put their phones down and we all grabbed some pancakes and placed them on our plates. [H] " Betty, I was wondering since this is the last few months of summer vacation, if you and Alice, Polly and the twins wanted to drive up to Lodge Lodge with us this weekend for a little getaway before school?" [B] " I'd love to, when I go home this afternoon I'll ask my mom and Polly if they want to go as well, I'll have her call and confirm later tonight." [H] " Okay sounds good."

That afternoon

Betty's pov: I was in the guest room packing my things while Veronica sat on the edge of the bed and talked about all of us going to Lodge Lodge this weekend. [V] " I really hope your mom says you can go, it is going to be so fun, I can't wait." [B] " Vee, don't get your hopes up, I haven't even asked her yet."[V] " Yea, I know I'm just so excited!" We both giggled, then the doorbell rang. [B] " That's probably my mom, I better hurry up." [V] " Yea, don't forget to ask you mom about this weekend." [B] " Trust me I won't." We both laughed then I left the bedroom with my bag and went downstairs and saw my mom waiting for me by the front door. [A] " Did you have fun?" [B] " Yes." I opened the front door and I walked out as my mom followed behind me closing the front door behind her.

That night

Alice's pov: Betty had just told me about the weekend trip to Lodge Lodge, as I went to my bedroom I saw Betty talking on the phone with Veronica. I leaned in the door and asked
[A] "Hey tell her to let Hermione know that we will be going up to Lodge Lodge with them this weekend." [B] " Okay, thanks mom I will." I left her bedroom and went up to my room to pack.

The next day

Betty's pov: As I was beginning to pack my bags for this weekend my phone rang. I answered. [B] " Hey Jug, what's up is everything alright, you never call me?!" [J] " Yea everything is alright, and I called to tell you that if we ever want what happened last night to happen again than don't tell Veronica. She's already interrogating me for the way we looked at each other at breakfast this morning." [B] " Okay I won't tell her if you won't, but I can't lie to her forever, come on i mean she's my best friend and we tell each other everything, so we can't hide this forever we have to tell her soon." [J] " Fine, just not now wait a bit." [B] " I know, now I have to go I'm packing for our trip." [J] " Okay, talk to you later bye." [B] " Bye." We both hung up and I put my phone on charge and went back to packing.

That weekend

Jughead's pov: It's the morning of the trip, and I have nothing ready. I was so unprepared, so I got up quickly and and pulled my suitcase out of my closet and threw in a few random shirts and pants and just enough pairs of socks and underwear to make it through the weekend. Then I packed my toothbrush and toothpaste and other necessities. Once I got done packing and had my bag by my bed room door I went to go get my phone and charger. After I got everything I needed I grabbed my bag and went downstairs where Veronica and my mom were waiting on me. [V] " About time I was about to come check on you." [H] " Okay, that's enough Veronica, be nice to you brother and go ahead and load your bags into the car and pick a seat. You too Jug." I groaned and walked out of the door following behind Veronica carrying my bags. Then after we loaded up all of our stuff, our mom went back to the front door and locked it. Then we all took a seat in the car and began to drive up.

Betty's pov: It was already 11pm and my mom still hadn't got the twins ready, so I grabbed my bags and brought them downstairs and left them beside the front door. After I sat my bags down I went to go help my mom and Polly with the twins. I put Juniper in her car seat, and Dagwood in his then carried both of them downstairs to the front door. Soon after my mom and Polly came downstairs and we all went outside and loaded our bags into the car. Polly went ahead and put the twins car seats in the car as me and mom finished loading our bags. Then my mom went back and locked the front door, and we all got in the car and headed up to Lodge Lodge.
