Part 19: Favoritism

A few weeks later

Betty's pov: I'm now six months pregnant and my baby bump as been growing like crazy, Jug was in the living room playing with Grayson as usual, and me and Cohan were in his room reading some short stories. [C] " Mama?" [B] " Yea buddy." [C] " Why is da da mad at me?" [B] " Daddy isn't mad at you he's just, distracted with Grayson." He frowned at me. [C] " But he Pwomised dat he wod stwll spwned time wif me."[B] " Your right, Hang on, this isn't fair I'm gonna go talk to him really fast." He nodded then I sat him on the floor and closer my book he went over to play with his cars as I left his room and went downstairs to find Jughead. [B] " Jughead!" He looked over at me confused. [J] " What is something wrong, is my princess okay?" [B] " Yes we're fine, but your son isn't." He looked at me worried then I walked over to him. [J] " What Grayson is fine." [B] " Wow." [J] " What?!" [B] " I'm talking about Cohan! You never play with him anymore and every time he asks you to play with him you always avoid him, he tries to give you hugs all of the time but you never hug him back. And I can't sit here anymore and watch you avoid him!" [J] " I- Betty, I didn't mean too!" [B] " Then how about you go up there and play with him, I'll play with Grayson, since I rarely ever get to because your always with him." [J] " Hang on, let me play with Grayson." [B] " No Jughead I'll play with him, you need to go he's still your son and you need to start acting like it!" I yelled at him almost crying. Then he got up and went upstairs into Cohan's room and I started playing with Grayson.

Jughead's pov: Betty yelled at me about not spending time with Cohan, so I went upstairs to play with him like she asked. [C] " Hi da da!" He said smiling at me. [J] " Hey bud, wanna play cars or something?" He nodded then handed me a car I sat down on the floor beside him and we started playing. [C] " Vwoom vwoom." He said imitating car noises. [J] " Hey, I'm sorry if it seemed like I was mad at you, I was just so caught up spending time with Grayson, that I forgot to spend time with my little man. So I'm sorry and don't ever let da da do that to you again okay." He nodded the we came over to me and sat in my lap and hugged me. I hugged him back then he smiled. [J] " I love you buddy." [C] " I wuv you too da da." He said back to me I smiled." We started playing cars then I got bored and left without thinking and went back downstairs and took Grayson from Betty. [J] " Hey daddy's favorite little guy." Betty gave me a look. [B] " This is unacceptable, Jug you have to up your game because in a few months there's gonna be anyone and you can't just keep neglecting him it's hurting his feelings, and I remember before Grayson was born you told Cohan that you promised to not ignore him! But I guess that was a lie!" [J] " But I apologized!" [B] " An apology isn't gonna cut it, he's your son and he's wanting to spend time with you and you're not giving him a bit of attention!" She yelled at me then left. [J] " Betty wait!" [B] " Work this out yourself I'm gonna go get Cohan and we're gonna go in our room and take a nap!" My eyes filled with tears as she walked upstairs.

A few hours later

Betty's pov: Me and Cohan have been sleeping for a few hours until I woke up when Jughead came in the room. [J] " I got Grayson to sleep." I rolled my eyes then started rubbing Cohan's head. [J] " What, your not mad at me are you?!" [B] " Get your shit your sleeping on the couch tonight!" I said back to him. He almost cried but he grabbed his pillow and a throw blanket and took off his clothes and and went downstairs to sleep on the couch.

Jughead's pov: Betty kicked me out of the room, and I walked downstairs and laid down on the couch and began to cry. Thirty minutes later I heard someone coming down the stairs I looked over to see who it was. [C] " Da da, I'm scarwed can I go night night wif you?" He said as he walked around to the couch. [J] " Of course buddy come on hop up." He climbed up onto the couch with me and I held him tight and pulled the blanket over top of both of us. We both fell asleep and I realized how much I missed spending time with him.

The next day

Betty's pov: it's the next morning I woke up and Cohan wasn't there, I got scared because I don't know where he went. So I immediately got up and went downstairs to look for him. I walked into the living room and seen Cohan and Jughead cuddling fast asleep on the couch. Jughead opened his eyes and seen me. [J] " Are you okay babe?" He said groggily. [B] " Yea, i was looking for Cohan because when I woke up he wasn't there I kinda got scared." [J] " Oh, he came down here last night cause he got scared so I said he could sleep with me." I nodded then went back upstairs into our room.soon after Jughead and Cohan came in and they laid down beside me in bed. [J] " You still mad at me?" [B] " No, I love you I hope you know that." [J] " I know, I love you too and I'll never to do that again." [B] " Okay." I sat up quickly. [J] " What?!" [B] " She kicked!" [J] " Really let me feel." He said then I laid back down and he put his hand on my stomach, then the baby kicked him. He looked at me and smiled. [J] " Wait what are we gonna name her?" [B] " You pick." [J] " Okay, but you still get a say in it." He said as he got on his phone and searched up names. [J] " Okay I picked, Lorelei Ophelia Jones." [B] " Oh my goodness Jug, that's beautiful I love it! Let's go with it."
