Part 7: Big News

Later that night

Betty's pov: I had finished eating dinner when my mom came home. [A] " Hey Betty, how are you feeling?" [B] " Good I guess.." she looked at me concerned then Polly came into the kitchen and told me that Hermione said I could go hang out with Veronica tonight. [P] " Hermione said yes." [B] " Okay great." My mom butted in. [A] "Betty if you're not feeling well then I don't want you getting the Lodges sick." [P] " Trust me mom she won't I'll tell you everything once she's gone." I looked at Polly confused the she whispered to me. [P] " I got you." I smiled back at her then asked my mom if I could still go. [B] " So mom, can I please." [A] " Fine, I guess so, but only for a couple of hours." [B] " Okay thank you mom." I said as I went out of the front door and got in the car and waited for mom. Shortly after my mom came out of the house shutting the door behind her then the got in the car and drove me to Veronica's. 

A few minutes later

Betty's pov: We finally got to Veronica's house, I got out of the car and walked to the front door as my mom waved goodbye. I knocked on the door and Veronica answered. [V] " Hey bee." [B] " Hey." I walked in closing the door behind me. [V] " Come on, let's go to my room I have a lot to gossip about." [B] " Okay, let me go talk to Jughead about something real quick." [V] " Okay, what's it about if you don't mind me asking?" [B] " Oh, it's just about the science project." I said lying because I was gonna tell her after. [V] " Oh, okay." We both walked upstairs and Veronica went into her room and I went into Jughead's. [B] " Hey Jug." He looked up from his phone. [J] " Hey, Ponytail." He got up from his bed and walked over and kissed me. [B] " I need to tell you something." [J] " Okay,come sit down on my bed with me." We both walked over to his bed and sat down. [B] " Jug, promise you won't hate me." [J] " Why would I hate you, I could never hate you." [B] " Maybe not after this." He looked at me scared. My eyes filled with tears, I took a deep breath. [J] " What is it babe." [B] " Jug, today I... I found out I was pregnant." I started crying he looked at me shocked and scared. [J] " Wha-.." [B] " I'm so sorry Juggie, I didn't mean to I ran out of pills and forgot to refill them I am so sorry I completely understand if you hate me." He looked up at me with tears in his eyes and hugged me.[J] "It's okay, I love you and we'll get through this together." He looked up at me and kissed me. [B] " I love you so much Jug." [J] " I love you too." [B] " I'll be right back I gotta go tell Vee." [J] " Okay, I love you." [B] " I love you too."

Meanwhile

Polly's pov: As soon as my mom came back from dropping off Betty at the lodges, I sat my mom down at the kitchen table and told her why Betty wasn't feeling good. [P] " So mom, Betty isn't feeling good because, she's pregnant. I interrupted her before she could say anything. [P] " But before you get mad and go off, I want to say that I will help her every step of the way, plus I am experienced and I can teach her everything I know. I just want her to have the love and support that I never had. So please go easy on her she's scared I know how it feels." She takes a deep breath. [A] " Okay, fine I won't get mad when she comes home, I will support her, but I am calling Hermione immediately." [P] " Okay, thank you mom." She got up from the table and got her phone to call Hermione.

Later

Betty's pov: It had been about thirty minutes and Veronica was still talking an juicy school drama. [B] " Vee, I need to tell you something." [V] " Yea, what's up." [B] " Okay, before I tell you I want you to know that I've already told Jughead and I think Polly told my mom and I know for sure that Jughead supports me. So, Veronica you're going to be an aunt." She looked up at me in shock then smiled and hugged me. [V] " Oh my gosh that's crazy, congratulations. But does my mom know?" Hermione walks into Veronica's room and pulls me out into the hallway with Jughead. [B] " Yea, I think she does." I walked out into the hallway with Hermione Jughead had already been standing there. [H] " Just so you two know, I'm not mad. But I want the two of you to know that a baby is a big responsibility and Jughead you're gonna have to get a job." [J] " Okay, I'll do it, I'll start looking tomorrow." [H] " Great, and Betty I want to to know that I support you." [B] " Wait, does my mom know, and if she dose is she mad?!" [H] " No, but I think she wants to talk." [B] " Oh, okay." [H] " Do you want me to take you home so you guys can talk it out, and you can come back tomorrow?" [B] " Yea, but I don't think I'll be going to school for the next few days, I may just be homeschooled until the baby is born." [H] " Okay, have your mom drop you off tomorrow night, you can stay the night with Jughead tomorrow night if you want to. Jughead looked up and smiled at us. [B] " I'd love to Mrs.Lodge." [H] " Anytime, now come on let's get in the car you've got a long conversation ahead of you." Hermione walked downstairs I kissed Jughead goodbye and told Veronica bye then went downstairs and went outside to go get in the car. Hermione drove me home and I got out as she waved goodbye, I walked in the front door and I saw my mom sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me so I walked in and sat down at the table across from her then we started to talk. [B] " Mom I'm so sorry." [A] " It's okay, I just wanna talk, and I want you want to know that I will always love and support you and your decisions." [B] " Thank you mom, I love you." We both looked and each other and smiled. [A] " So I got you and appointment with Dr.Kurdle on Wednesday, so until then you won't be going to school and after we'll go from there." [B] " Okay." [A] " And me and Hermione has decided to let you go to her house every afternoon to spend time with Jughead since he is the father I assume." [B] " He is, he 100% is the father, because I lost my virginity to Jughead plus he's the first guy I've ever been with." [A] " Okay that was a little tmi, but I have packed you a few bags that you can keep at Hermione's house until you come back home when you think it's time, so basically you will be living with the Lodges for at least the first three years of the baby's life. Up until you guys get your own house, and of course I'll come and visit throughout the pregnancy and after the baby is born and I'll babysit." [B] " Okay mom thank you, and thank you, but can I just do online school for the rest of senior year?" [A] " Yes, I think that will be wise. But it's getting pretty late so I wanna get you to The Lodges house early in the morning before work so you better get to bed." [B] " Okay mom." I said As I ran upstairs to get to bed."

The next day

Betty's pov: I woke up and ran to the bathroom and threw up, my mom came running in asking if I was okay. [A] " Betty are you okay?" [B] " Y-." I threw up before I could finish my sentence. She bent down and held my hair back. [B] " I think I'm good now, I need to get dressed and get my bags to take over to the Lodge's." [A] " Yea, also I talked to Hermione and she's keeping Jughead out of school today so he'll be there for you in case something happens while she's at work." [B] " Okay, let me get ready I'll be done in just a sec, I'll meet you downstairs." [A] " Okay." She left my room and I put on some fresh clothes and brushed my teeth then got my bags and went downstairs where my mom was waiting for me, then i walked out with my mom walking out closing the door behind her we both got in the car and she drove me to Veronica's house.

Later

Betty's pov: I just arrived at the Lodge's, and I knocked on the door and Hermione answered. [H] " Hey Betty Jughead is waiting for you upstairs, you can put your clothes in his closet and leave your stuff in his room since I assume you don't wanna be in the guest bedroom by yourself." [B] " Yea, thank you Hermione." [H] " Anytime." I walked upstairs as Hermione closed the front door. As I walked down the hallway I knocked on Jughead's door he opened it. [J] " Hey baby." He said as he kissed me. [B] " Hi my love, can I come in?" [J] " Of course I mean this is now your room too." I looked him and smiled then walked in and he started helping me unpack. After we finished unpacking I laid down on his bed and he followed and we started cuddling. I turned over so that he was the big spoon then he whispered in my ear. [J] " I love you both so much." I smiled. [B] " Both?" [J] " Yea, you and our baby." I smiled then leaned my head back and kissed him. Then we both fell asleep.
