"What the heck was that? Is that an omen of mishap!"

Mordana demanded between her snorts of frights and trails of placating it. Aaron held her tough shoulders and looked into her obsidians, smudging her trafficked panics in his hands of concern.

Hugh kept looking through the stairs every moment to glimpse his mom. His jitters made Eir clutch the pendant of her mind's eye in an attempt to exert the trait that she inherited from her father, something she never does until it's needed. It is something she kept as a secret from everyone, even from her mates, that's why she hid it with a long string to let it reside near her abdomen beneath her robes.

When she held them in her palm careful enough to keep it unnoticed by others, she could see Galene combatting something, but her amateur state couldn't let her see anything more. Silently she recited the hymn of protection, praying to the gods of goodwill for Galene to come up safe and sound.

When the others were drowning in their renditions of scares and faiths of survival, Serephina steadied her mind and looked to see if she could infer anything. To her incredulity, nothing felt strange except for some glare that demanded keen scrutiny.

Amidst the twilight that was growing dark with every second to birth an obsidian night, she could see a flaming torch that was glaring at the corner of the pathway. With the torch that was beaming strong with every second to indicate its proximity, she could see a silhouette of a woman scurrying towards them.

Who could that be? Is she a human being, or... Her jolting questions pulled her into a maze of thoughts. Before she could conclude, the strange woman stood in front of their gate. The salty sweat stench and her weak vigour confirmed who she was and Serephina felt sorry for being sceptical.

In the meanwhile, Galene had come up and her proficient smile was back on her lips, confiding them that things were within their realm. A sigh of relief crept upon everyone's tensed face.

"Mrs Galene, I guess someone needs our help." Serephina's attention made her run towards her. She glanced at a woman walking as fast and stable as she could towards them with her fire torch swerving in the hustling breezes.

With every step she neared, anyone could figure out her dismay and anxiety from her quivering steps and sweating pale skin. Seeing Galene, a surge of sigh coated her face. She cried, "My daughter is hurt, she is bleeding. I need help, Mrs Galene."

Hearing her news, Aaron and Hugh moved towards the overstuffed room and pulled out a briefcase and some bundles of cloth without any instructions.

Girls, don't panic. Get ready to face the problem. Come along with me, Galene reasoned them through their mind. She hurried towards the woman who had a thudding fear etched in her brown almond eyes and calmed her with all her might.
