Mae govannen. My name is Annika, the first daughter of Elrond. I have two elder brothers, Elladan and Elrohir, and a little sister, Arwen. You could say I'm pretty different compared to them. When I was born, I was somehow blessed by the moon, which gave me special abilities. I can control water, control the wind, do stuff with the moon, and who knows what else.
After the death of our mother Celebrían, I set out to take revenge on those who had killed her, becoming a ranger. I am a friend of Mithrandir and he had sent me on a journey with quite a few dwarves, and a hobbit of course. At first the leader, Thorin Oakenshield, did not approve of having an Elf in his company, even if I showed no hate or displeasure to him or the Company. In the course of the adventure, I found myself falling in love with a brown-haired prince, the dwarf Kili. And I can tell you something that ended up hurting me in the end.
I loved him too much that when he died I couldn't take it. I was meant to fade; as elves did when they found their One. Hadn't I? I tried suicide but I was caught. And there the walls of my mind built up. I vowed to never love again, never to find solace in another's arms. I never talked to anybody, and I wept silently in the cold, silent nights of the great Wild. I kept crying out to the Valar to take me, to let me fade away from the world. But I am being kept on Middle-Earth for a reason. For what? I do not know yet. However, there is something I DO know. It's time for another adventure. I have been sent to Bree.
