Itachi (7MIH)

"Whoah, Itachi!" The voice spoke, startling you out of your thoughts as you turned to face Itachi who stood in the back. His expression barely changed as he turned to you, and you slumped a big. "Why is it somebody who obviously doesn't like me?" You grumbled, and sakura gently pushed you forward. "You can't be so certain!" She laughed before pushing you in the closet.

As the closet door shut, silence filled the air. You took a deep breath in, the hope in your life draining incredibly quickly as nothing happened for a minute or so. "Did you not want to be in here with me?" Itachi finally spoke, breaking the awkward silence. You turned to him, surprised at the question before you hummed in thought. "Well.. no, it's not that I'm unhappy with it.." you grumbled, scratching the back of your head. "I'm just unsure of this, you know..?" You responded, voice shaking a bit. Embarrassment filled your expression and you quickly looked down as silence met your words.

"Four minutes left!"

You sighed rather quietly, frustrated with yourself. "I must really be wasting your time. I'm so sorry." You apologized, cracking your knuckles out of a habit of when you grew nervous. You quietly pleaded it ended quickly as your heart pounded in your chest.

"Two minutes!"

You squeezed your eyes shut, wanting to cry as you forced yourself not to look at him. How could you let such a good opportunity slip? You could enjoy yourself for once, and you coward away last minute. This was humiliation. You never wanted to do this again. You wanted to cry. Maybe people were right when they told you you were hopeless. You couldn't even do the smallest of things.

Dread and sorrow filled you as you heard the timer go off, and you felt the weight on your shoulders lift a bit. You felt relieved that it was over, and you could feel the fresh air wash in after a moment or so. Itachi, on the other hand, seemed to stiffen up a bit, and he sighed. Without warning, he quickly leaned forward and pecked you on the lips and walked away just as the closet doors opened, leaving you completely stunned and red.

You stuttered in shock before rushing forward away from the closet so the other around could begin, but you rushed after Itachi. "Are you just going to leave me confused?" You asked him as he poured himself some water while you leaned on the window frame, a confused look on your face. Usually, you would just leave and question your whole life but this was different. This was Itachi who kissed you.

The Itachi who was rumored to never show emotion.

You NEEDED an explanation. He could not leave you hanging just like that. He eyed you from the corner of your eyes, his eyes wondering from your feet up to your face in a quick motion. "What is there to be confused about? I just kissed you." He spoke simply, turning away from you. "What—? You could NOT have kissed me at the last moment? Are you trying to play with my feelings right now? What do you mean there's nothing to be confused about?" You spoke in disbelief, not wanting to believe what he was saying was coming from his mouth.

He sighed, eyeing you and holding out a cup of water. "I didn't mean it like that." He spoke, leading you into further confusion. "Then what did y—" "I meant—why do you you kiss another individual?— you kiss another individual because you love them." He spoke calmly. "It took me time because I didn't know it you felt the same." He simply spoke, as if it was that simple.

"Wait- I- was that a.."

"Confession?"
