Earlier that day

POV Beatrice:

I feel her warm lips press against mine and I am transported to a world where nothing else matters except for the fact that we are together, finally. I'm not letting her go this time. I wrap my arms around her lovingly as she does the same.

"Kristen..." I say quietly, removing my lips from hers. "Did you mean what you said to Olivia?"

"I don't think I did, Bea, not really. I was mostly trying to convince myself that I didn't have feelings for girls..." She explains, still tight in my embrace. I sit down and lay her on my lap, running my fingers through her long, blonde hair.

"Why?" I ask.

"I want my father to walk me down the aisle." She sits up and her hair falls from my hand. "And I don't think he will if the person that I'm being walked to is a woman." She says, tears consuming her.

"What makes you say that?"

"He's a raging homophobe. But he's my daddy, the one I used to dance in my pajamas with, and I want him to say I look beautiful, and just like my mom as he walks me down toward my future.

"Oh, Kris..." I say softly.

"It'll be okay. I promise. Your dad will walk you down that aisle, babe, I will make sure it happens."

"We were walking one day, and he saw two girls kissing. He yelled at them and called them an abomination. He turned to me and said..." She makes her way to the other side of the room, turning so I couldn't see her crying. "And said 'I'm so glad you're my daughter, you don't have those perverted thoughts in your mind'"She starts sobbing and falls to her knees in tears. I kneel down beside her and pull her into a comforting embrace.

"Shhhh... it's okay." I soothe softly.

"I don't want my dad to hate me, Rosie." My heart ached so badly. I wanted to fix this. She can't be herself. I start to cry softly, but my sobs were silent compared to Kris's sobs, which seem like she has been holding them in forever. She clutches the sleeve of my jacket tightly, burying her face into it.

"Hey, hey... it's okay, sweetie. It's all gonna work out fine I promise." I say, however false it may be. "Look at me," I say, lifting her chin up. "There's that pretty face..." I admire, her bright blue eyes red from crying. I wipe her wet cheeks as gently as I can as if she was made of china. She chuckles at my actions and words. I admire her beautiful but rare genuine smile, her soft pink lips curling upwards elegantly.

"I'm so glad you forgive me, Rosie..." She smiles tearfully.

"I understand. I understand everything you did now. I understand how you thought it was right, even though you could've talked, I understand. I missed you." I say, kissing her quickly before my phone pings from an unknown number:

Unknown: This is Olivia. I got a new ph number. Can you meet me in the park in 5 minutes?

I stare at the phone, confused.

Me: Why?

Olivia: I'll tell you when you get here, okay?

"Who's that?" Kris asks, curiously.

"Olivia, she apparently got a new number. She wants me to meet her in the park in 5 minutes." I explain briefly.

"Are you okay with going alone? It's nearly dark." Kris says worriedly.

"I'll be fine, okay? I'll text you when I get there to make you feel better though, okay?" I say, grabbing her shoulder comfortingly.

"Okay. As long as you're sure you'll be okay." I nod at her, pressing a kiss on her forehead. I start to walk out. "Rosie!"

"Yea?" I say, turning around.

"I love you." She smiles, relieved to say it again.

"I love you too Kris." I smile back at her. I continue walking out the front door, getting on my like to go to the mysterious meeting with Olivia. She isn't pregnant again, is she?

Kristen POV:

I smile, looking down at the spot she was sitting, now empty. I fill the space with my body, laying down on it. I feel comforted by her fleeting body heat on the carpeted floor. I hear a soft buzzing after about 5 minutes, and I assume it's Bea, telling me she had made it to the park, but it was Olivia, not from a new number.

Olivia: Hey. Wanna video chat? I'm so bored.

Me: Why are you texting from this number? You just texted Bea from a different one.

Olivia: No, I didn't

Me: Who did then?

Olivia: What's going on, Kris? Is Bea in danger?

Me: I think she might be, Liv. Hold on. I'm going to call her.

I call Bea's number and it goes to voicemail. I call twice more, getting nothing each time. My palms are starting to sweat and I launch into a panic. I call Olivia.

"Kris, what's happening?"

"I don't know. Bea got a text from an unknown number pretending to be you saying to meet them at the park in 5 minutes. She left and then I got a text from the actual you. I'm really freaking out here, Liv." I ramble.

"Okay, we'll go see if she's still at the park, okay?"

"Okay. I'll meet you there." I agree quietly, tears forming.
