"Addie im so, so sorry"cooper apologizes
"its not ur fault"
"but it is my fault i did this i should have never taken him out of school i should have payed more attention to the road im so so sorry its all my fault- and im ranting you know what im just gonna wait in my car" he says standing up
Cooper starts walking and within his first couple of steps he passes out and collapses
"cooper!"
Addison runs over to cooper checking his pulse
"thready pulls, ive gotta page derek" she whispers to herself"
she pages derek and keeps her finger on coopers wrist incase his pulse goes away
derek comes
"cooper? what the hell happened addison" derek whisper yells
"i have no idea he just collapsed!"
"why are you guys even here what happened" he says
"alex and cooper got into a bad accident, alex might not make it"
"What!!! why didn't you tell me! Alex is my kid too you cant just hide stuff like this from me!"
derek turns around and sees his daughter, beatrice standing behind him
"You have another kid? and you never told me?" beatrice whispers trying not to let tears slip out"
"i- bea-"
"save it, i can't believe you" bea says walking away from derek and going to the bathroom, locking herself into a bathroom stall
"why, why would he do this to me" i think
"does he not trust me?" i don't understand why he would keep something so big from me
Dereks POV
Beatrice wasent supposed to find out like this, i have to make this right but i have no idea where she went and i need ro save coopers life, he has obvious brain damage and might not make it
we get him on a gurney and rush him into emergency surgery
"scalpel bookhie" i say putting my hand out
i cut into coopers head with my scalpel, going in after the ct scans came back and we found out he had a massive brain bleed
its crazy how the human body can hide that from itself for so long, cooper didnt feel any pain at all before this happened and then all of assuden he was being rushed into emergency surgery
cooper has a low chance of making it sadly.
Machine beeping rapidly
"B- Fib!" i yell, lexie starting compressions as i watch the monitor waiting for his heart rate to slow down, but it doesnt
the machine makes one long beeping noise indicating his heart stopping
lexie keeps doing conpressions trying her best to get the heart to start again
as surgeons, when we are operating on people we love and or care about we call them "it" or "they" instead of there actual names so out emotions dont get the best of us
"derek... hes gone im sorry" lexie whispers
"time of death... 22:50" i say ripping my scrub cap off along with my gloves and i throw the gloves in the garbage while i walk out of the OR
"Addison?" i say in a sad tone standing infront of my ex wife satan its self, which is addison montgomry
"yes?"
"im so sorry... there were complications and-" but i get cut off
"Dont explain it- dead is dead" she says almost carelessly
