Meredith rushes into the hospital after hearing what happened to derek.
"What the hell happened!?" she yells swiftly walking up to the rest of the surgeons, bailey, owem, lexie and mark
"Semi truck hit him on his way home, it does not look good...." Mark says in a remorseful voice
"Meredith be prepared for the worst, im sure you understand what a brain bleed can do and thats what where pretty sure this is. we where
waiting for you to get here to do it since hes stable" bailey says wipping her former interns tears off her scared face.
No ones POV
you can see the pain in merediths eyes while she watching the love of her life dying in that hospital bed
bea and addison come into the hospital room. quietly they sit down in chairs across the room from meredith, tears are streaming down beas face afriad to lose her father but addison on the other hand addison has a straight face and looks as if shes bored. meredith gets up to let bea sit by derek and talk to him.
merediths POV
i stand up to let bea talk to her dad, signaling addison to leave the room with me to give them time alone
beatrices POV.
"dad?" i whisper, tears streaming down my face , i can't believe my dad might die today. i cant be stuck with addison. dont get me wrong i love living with my brother but addison is difficult
"daddy i love you. please dont die i need you" i cry in a quiet tone. thats when i feel him squeeze my hand
"dad?"
i watch his eyes open.
"Oh my god ur alive" i cry hugging him. he hugs me back but i can tell hes weak
"do you need anything? i can get you food or a drink or-" he cuts me off
"bea im fine calm down. everythings gonna be just fine" he tells me stroking my hair.
"dont ever scare me like that again" i joke
"Not planning on it" he whispers
Later
Bea is asleep next to derek, both laying in his hospital bed when dereks monitors start going off indicating his heart stopping.
"Dad?" bea says junping up from the bed after the monitors wake her up. she runs out into the hall to get doctor bailey. an hour goes by and i hear dr bailey say...
