"Why won't you go to the party with me?"

Ron had just gotten back from classes and was now sitting on the sofa in the Gryffindor common room along with Hermione, who was doing some extra work, and Harry, who just happened to be there with Ron while he awkwardly listened to the same conversation they had been having for days.

"I already told you, Ronald. I don't want to go to some stupid party. And you shouldn't go either."

"But I really want to! It's been so boring this year."

"Right, because you didn't have fun enough defeating Voldemort and the Death Eaters."

Ron sulked on the couch, crossing his arms over his chest as he stared at the fire.

"That's not what I meant."

He mumbled under his breath, just enough for both Hermione and Harry to listen. Hermione only gave him a sharp look as Harry pretended to be paying attention to anything else. He had grown sick of hearing the two fighting over stupid things and was glad that most times they didn't ask for his opinion on the matter.

"Even Harry is going! Why can't we go?"

"For Merlin's beard. If you want to go so much just do it. But stop bugging me about it."

"But I don't have a date."

"Then bloody find one."

"You're my girlfriend! You are supposed to go with me. Right Harry?"

Harry's eyes widened as he turned to look at Ron, shrugging his shoulders slightly before both notice Hermione had gotten up from the table, closing her book loudly.

"So just because I'm your girlfriend I have to do something I don't want to? You're a real git, Ronald."

Without saying anything else, she stormed off of the common room, going up to the girls dormitories, leaving Harry and Ron alone.

Ron sighed loudly as he rested his head on the back of the couch, running his hands through his hair out of frustration.

"Do you and my sister fight as much as we do?"

"Not really, mate. Ginny is usually right about everything so I decide it's not worth fighting for."

"I just wanted to go to this stupid party."

"Well, just go then. Tag along with me and Ginny."

Ron let a laugh escape his lips as he turned his head to the side to look at him.

"Yeah that would be great. Third wheeling for my best friend and my little sister."

"I do that all the time with you and Hermione. You don't see me complaining."
