this chapter is literally just a mess. it's just like wtf.
"normani,"
"hey.." I breathed out in shock. I took a deep breath trying to process everything that happened in the last 5 seconds.
"how are you?" sydni squealed and ran towards me with arms open wide.
"i'm great, i'm fine oh my gosh," i hugged her tighter with every word.
"i'm so happy to see you," she said through muffled sobs.
"y-yeah," i agreed while staring at him. he smiled and stood up from his seat before making his way towards me.
"mani.." he let go of a deep breath while looking me up and down, "wow you look.."
"you too," i laughed lightly and we hugged.
"what are you two doing here? together?"
"well.." ashton began but was soon cut off by sydni throwing her hand in my face.
"WE'RE ENGAGED EEE!!" she squealed again, only this time higher than before.
"oh my god," my eyes got wide. the ring on her finger was huge.
"I KNOW!" she nodded her head viciously with her hand still out in front of me.
"oh my gOD." I looked at ashton who smiled shyly before quickly looking at his feet.
"OHHH MY GOD!!!" sydni grabbed my hands and jumped up and down.
"OH MY GOD!!!" i made my voice match her excitement and pulled her into a hug.
"I know, I know and that's not all.." she settled down a bit.
"that's not?" I chuckled, "what more could there possibly be?!"
sydni made a face looking as though she was about to cry and rubbed her stomach.
"nooOoOoo?" I looked at ashton and he bashfully rubbed the back of his neck.
"YES!! EEEEEEEE!" sydni squealed once more earned a glare from ally in her office.
"oh my god syd, that's.." I looked at Ashton who still hasn't said a word, "that's fantastic!" i acted as happy as possible but this was all too much to handle.
how did they even meet? did he move back from California? they're only 19/20 what the hell are they thinking? is syd's father okay with this? does he even know? oh my god her dad is going to flip.
"normani?"
"huh? sorry what'd you say?"
"harry, is he at the house?"
"no he's actually upstairs in the studio, you guys can come up if you want?" I looked at both of them and sydni decided on yes.
I led them up the stairs into the studio to see everyone going over the dance again.
"guys!! we have visitors!" i shouted and the music stopped.
"syd?" harry stood up from the floor and ran over, "oh my god sydni!" they hugged for a while before separating and started chit chatting away.
"ASH!" a few girls ran over to ashton to say hi. I found lauren and we made eye contact.
"are they?" she mouthed as i walked across the room to her. I nodded my head and face palmed myself simultaneously.
"oh my god are you serious?" she squinted her eyes across the room and then looked back at me, "i always thought syd was into chicks."
"they're pregnant lo," i groaned and put my face into her shoulder.
"OH MY GOD!" she yelled and the room grew quiet. I snapped my head up and everyone was looking in our direction.
"she broke a nail!" i forced a giggle, "she's fine."
everyone turned back to their private conversations and i sighed.
"wait does her dad know?"
"I honestly no idea. I think I'm the first person she told," i groaned again and this time placed my face onto Lauren's thigh, "this is too much." i said in a muffled tone.
"I know mani, I know." she stroked my hair and sighed.

but my nieces first birthday is tomorrow, finna turn up at chuck e cheese like yaaaasssss
