Mayank Markande had a crush larger than the number of runs scored by The Legend MS Dhoni. The girl of his dreams, Mahi Dalal. The two of them, unfortunately, were not in the same classes. But he'd caught glimpses of her before. He'd been labeled as the bad boy in school. Ironically, he the best grades in his class.

He'd first met Mahi during their College Orientation, she was a tour guide alongside him. Mayank doubted that Mahi even recalled his name. Mahi was the first girl that Mayank had developed strong feelings for, he'd fallen for famous celebrities. But they were just celebrity crushes, what he felt for Mahi was different. Her cheeky smile invaded his thoughts at a regular basis.

"I'll bet 300 rupees that he's daydreaming about Mahi," A voice jerked him away from continuing to swim in his thoughts.

"Shut it," Mayank turned and shot a pointed glare at Aarav, the interrupter.

"Excuse me?" A familiar voice called out, Mayank whirled around, unable to believe his eyes. He blinked multiple times before Aarav pinched him, confirming that Mahi was actually standing there.

"Ye...Yes?" Mayank squeaked in a high-pitched voice, he cleared his throat and began to act as though he didn't have a major crush on her.

"Can I talk to you?" Mahi's gaze flitted to the group that Mayank was hanging out with, Mayank's menacing glare was enough for Aarav and the group to take a hint.

"Yeah... so?" Mayank looked off into the distance and kicked a rock.

"So... there's this person who likes you..." Mahi trailed off and shifted on her feet awkwardly. Mayank's hopes were no longer grounded, he was practically flying.

"And, she doesn't know how to confess." Mahi chewed on her lip, and Mayank's heart was leaping for joy.

"Who is it?" Mayank just wanted some confirmation but her words stilled his happy emotions.

"My best friend, Ritika," Mahi admitted,

And Mayank's world shattered.
