Chapter 26: Future Rogue

Y/n's POV

We walked in silence. I looked at Lucy, trying to stir up conversation with Natsu. I carried Joy in my hand as I sighed. Happy flew on my head as I looked up at him with a pout.

"Y/n, when are we gonna find the exit? I'm getting with Lucy, and all her rambling," Happy whined. I giggled.

"Shut up, you stupid cat!" Lucy yelled.

"Hey, don't say that to him," I warned with a glare as Lucy huffed. Happy rolled his eyes and sat on my shoulder.

"I wanted to participate in the Games, but here we are," I whined.

"If it makes you feel better, you rocked all the events and battles you participated in," Natsu grinned.

"It was one battle and one event. I would've kicked their butts today," I pouted. Natsu chuckled.

So cute! No, Y/n, no, you can't fall for your best friend.

I shook my head.

"Y/n, are you okay?" Joy asked, looking concerned.

"I'm fine," I answered.

We finally stumbled into a door. I smirked. About time.

The door opened, much to our surprise. A cloaked figure appeared as I went into a battle stance.

The cloaked figure opened her hood. Everybody gasped.

You gotta be kidding me!

I was facing another Lucy like one wasn't enough.

"Who are you?" I demanded.

"I am Lucy but from the future," she began explaining until she fell unconscious. I bent down to check her pulse. She was alive. I healed her. She would be awake in a bit. We wander around the castle, completely lost.

"How do you not remember the way?" Natsu whined.

"Well, for starters, when I was brought here, I was knocked out cold," I said.

"You guys should be the one to lead the way since you were conscious when you came looking for me, or am I wrong?" I asked.

Natsu avoided my gaze, and so did others.

I groaned. We heard someone wince. We all turned to the 'someone'. It was future Lucy.

"Rise and shine! You feeling okay?" I said with a warm smile.

She smiled, "Thank you for healing me,"

"What happened to you?" Natsu asked.

"In past, after we escaped the Abyss Palace, we came across the Eclipse Gate where we were captured again. Since we could not use our magic because of the Eclipse Gate, we couldn't put much of a fight and were sent back to the jail,"

She continued, "I don't want what happened after that to repeat so I came to the past with the help of the Eclipse Gate. Please, stop the chaos that will unwind now,"

Hearing her plead made me wonder what chaos was about to unfold. As if hearing our wishes, we heard someone walking towards us.

This person looked like Rogue. Since we already have one person from the future, I wouldn't be surprised if he was from the future too.

I was right. He was Rogue's future counterpart.

"Natsu, can you take care of him? I am going to—"

I was cut off when I was bashed in the wall by a shadow whip. I winced in pain.

"I'm not gonna let you close the Eclipse Gate," he said.
