Chapter 29: Birthday!!

Y/n's POV

I walked to the guild.

"I wonder what's gonna happen at the guild today," Joy said, thrilled.

I rolled my eyes, "I don't think anyone is gonna remember,"

"Why wouldn't they? It's your birthday!" Joy exclaimed.

"It's not that much of a big deal," I said, truthfully.

"It is!" she practically shouted.

"Fine, whatever. We can bet on it if you want,"

"Okay, though I'll warn you, you're going to lose,"

I rolled my eyes again.

"You can't back if you lose," I warned.

"I won't," she said gleefully.

"Because I won't be the one to lose," she added with a wink.

"If I win, you will give me all your money," I smirked.

"You're always money-crazy. I would've disagreed if I did not know I was going to win. Now, if I win, you have to go on a date with Natsu,"

I snapped my head towards her that it hurt.

"No," I said.

She smirked, "So, you know you're going to lose, too, huh?"

"No, I wouldn't agree to something as stupid as that EVER," I said.

"Fine, then, you will clean the kitchen in my turn for three months," she said.

"Deal!" I said.

"Deal!" she said as we shook our hands on it.

"Now, it is a done deal. You can't back out," I warned.

"I won't!" she shrieked, clearly annoyed at me. I laughed.

At the guild~

I opened the guild door. It was empty with only a few people at sight.

I smirked, looking at Joy with pride.

"Told ya, loser. Now, hand over the money when we're home. Or we can go now," I suggested.

"You are so naïve. We came so late, thanks to you. Why don't you seem even a bit surprised that there is barely someone here?" she said.

"Maybe they're on a job or something," I shrugged.

"Oh, really?" Joy asked as she looked around. She sighed, "Lucy, we can see your hair,"

I  turned to see blonde hair.

I didn't like where this was going.

"Lucy!" Natsu shouted from the corner as Lucy got out.

"Natsu, now, we can hear you, too," Joy called out.

"Damn it!" Natsu cursed, getting up.

"The rest of you can come out, too," Joy said as the whole guild got out of their hiding places. I facepalmed.

"Happy birthday, Y/n!" Natsu shouted, nervously on how roughly they had planned it.

Someone blew a horn right after as party poppers were blasted.

Everyone joined in, and cheered. Mirajane and Lucy were holding a banner. Master was holding a drink. Cana, somehow, was already drunk. Erza hugged me.

"Happy 17th birthday!" she wished.

"Thanks," I said, sobbing.

"Why are you crying?" Gray asked.
