Hawks POV
"What're you still doing here?" Dabi asks me, a harsh tone in his voice. "Nobody cares about you- especially not me." tears stream down my face. Dabi turns around and walks away, leaving me alone.
I wake up in a cold sweat. A dream...? It felt so real. But it couldn't've been real, Dabi is lying next to me. Suddenly, Dabi opens his eyes. He looks at me worried, as if wondering why I'm not asleep. I start to cry, knowing that my stupid nightmare wouldn't happen. Dabi wouldn't leave me. "Keigo? What's wrong?" Dabi asks in a soft voice, wrapping his arms around me. I sink into his embrace, and cry into his shoulder. After a bit, I say, "just a nightmare. Sorry for waking you up." "Hey, it's ok," Dabi says. "I was half awake anyways." I nod, still not totally reassured. Dabi clearly notices this. "do you want to talk about it...?" he asks. I shake my head. talking about nightmares just make them more real. "Okay," he says. "but if you want to talk..." I nod.
There's a soft knock on the bedroom door. Dabi stands up and opens the door. Haruto is standing there, a sheet of paper and a pencil in his hands. "Haruto? it's only 5 in morning..." Dabi says. Haruto nods. "I know, but you two are both awake, and I forgot to do my homework, and now I don't understand it in the slightest." I laugh. "Ok, come in, we'll help you with your homework." he smiles and sits on the bed next to me. He shows me his math homework. "ok, the problem is 76x89.5, but I don't know how to multiply decimals yet." he says. "Can you multiply fractions?" I ask. he nods. "89.5 is the same as 89 1/2." I tell him. "ohhh. ok, thanks!" He says. he writes something on his paper, then hops off the bed and runs back to his room.
Dabi smiles and sits next to me. "wanna go get breakfast?" he asks. "Sure!" I say, and the two of us walk downstairs and into the kitchen. Dabi puts two pieces of toast into the toaster. My phone buzzes, and I glance at it. it's a text from Endeavour.
Endeavour: we have a meeting at 7 sharp, don't be late
I sigh. Dabi reads the message over my shoulder. "jeez, how many meetings do you guys have?" he asks. "A lot," I sigh. "I guess I kinda signed up for it when I became a pro, but still." he nods. "I guess so," he says. "seems like a bit much though," "What does?" Haruto asks, walking into the kitchen. "meetings," I say. "oh," He sounds disappointed. "boooring." I laugh. the toast pops, and Dabi takes it out of the toaster and hands one peice to me. "Thanks," I say, taking a bite of my toast. Dabi nods. "So, you got any plans today?" I ask him. He shrugs. "Toga and I are gonna scare Shigaraki," I snort. "How are you gonna do that?" I ask. He grins. "We have a plan." "Should I be worried?" I ask. "Probably." "I'll count on that."
