The Todoroki Child

Chapter 3

Haruto POV

After breakfast, I sit down at my desk and open my computer. it's 7:29. I have to log into online class at 7:30. I open zoom and type in the code for class. I make sure my camera and mic are off, then I join the meeting. 

"Good morning Haruto!" 

My teacher says in a cheerful voice. "we're doing a Kahoot on the book we read in class yesterday, the code is on the zoom screen!" 

I open a new tab and pull up Kahoot. I join the meeting with my name as 'haruto'. I make sure never to add my last name, since my Grandfather is number 1 and that would raise suspicion. I don't get how my teacher hasn't figured it out yet, since she obviously knows my last name, but she hasn't. 

the questions are easy, as long as you had done the homework- which most kids hadn't. but unlike them, I couldn't go see my friends, since I didn't have any. and I never much liked TV or video games, so I didn't have much to do other than finish my work and talk to my dads. 

Then I heard Papa walk into the room, and I turned around to look at him.

"Why are you home early?" I ask. "Finished early," he says with no additional information- and he clearly didn't plan on giving me any. "Oh, ok," I say, then turn my attention back to the Kahoot.

soon it ends and my teacher stops sharing her screen. "alright class, for this next activity I want everyone to turn their cameras on, alright?" uh oh. I look over at Papa, he shrugs. then my camera turns on- stupid admin privileges. Papa looks over at my screen. My teacher looks astonished. Papa takes one look at her and chokes. 

"Fuyumi?"
