The Todoroki Child

Chapter 8

Haruto POV

The morning after grandpa- i mean, Endeavor, broke in was very awkward.

Dad and Papa are silent. "So...what are you guys doing today?" I ask, hopeful of conversation. Neither of them say anything. I continue eating my cereal, not knowing what to say. "So... you have MCAS today, right, Haruto?" Dad says. "Yeah, math." I say. he nods. then his phone alarm goes off. "Aw, shoot! I gotta go, love ya!" Dad says. he kisses Papa's forehead and then leaves. 

"Sorry about last night," Papa says. "I didn't think anyone would tell him..." I nod. Then we hear a sharp knock on the door. Papa looks at me. "Stay back," he says. I nod. I watch him open the door cautiously, to see a women with long black hair and sharp teal eyes standing there. "Who're you?" Papa asks. She smiles a smile that looks like she's ready to kill him. "I'm Midnight," she says. "The pro who's gonna make sure you stay away from the poor child you've kidnapped," Papa looks back at me and shakes his head. but it's too late. I've already stood up and run over to papa. 

I grab his hand I glare at Midnight. "Stay away from him! he didn't do anything wrong!" I yell. Midnight looks at me like I'm a helpless child. "You poor kid," she says. "Good thing a pro showed up in time." The she grabs papa and knocks him to the floor. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!" I scream. then I activate my quirk. My wings spread out wide, and I shoot blue flaming feathers from my wings, knocking Midnight off of papa and pinning her to the ground. she looks at me confused. "Why are you defending a villain?" she asks. "That's none of your business." I say. "I think it is," She says. I glare at her, wanting nothing more than for her to get out of my house. 

She leaps up and grabs me by my shirt. Papa tries to grab me, but Midnight kicks him to the ground. Then a bright red feather pulls me out of Midnight's grasp and tosses Midnight out of the way.

"What is going on here?" Dad says, pulling me to his side. 

"Hawks?" Midnight asks. Dad looks at Papa, then back at Midnight. "Midnight, I'm going to have to ask you to leave," he says. "And if I don't ?" she says, standing up. 

"Then I'm afraid I'll have to make you."

A/N: Sorry I haven't updated in so long! hope you liked chapter 8! what do you think is going to happen to Midnight? will she get away? if she does, will she tell the rest of the pros about Hawks and Dabi?
