Ch. 9 "Memory"

                                                         Hayden POV 

It has been a few days since then, I have been spending my time with each of them, Like Me Steve and Bucky, 

Steve and Bucky telling me about all that's happened, then they start going on about when they were in the army, I do enjoy their stories from back before they were super soldiers, 

Me and Wanda going to shops and picking out some new clothes for me and her, 

Tony showing me some of the new Tech he's developed, 

All of them, I've missed them dearly, 

But still that little voice in the back of my mind, telling me that I should consider what Fury said, but the older and more reasonable me says no way in hell, look how far you've come, you would destroy everything you accomplished if you do it, 

I was walking down the hallway, when I see Fury, 

I stopped about to turn around, 

"Wait," He said 

I looked at him, 

"The offer still stands, you don't have to kill him but you could at least bring him in, you could stop all of this," He said 

"You really don't know when to quit do you?" I asked 

"I know you miss all of this," He said 

"I'm happier than I was, being at peace with myself," I said 

"How many times do you have to tell yourself that?" He asked, 

"You know where to find me when your ready," He said walking by me, 

I took a deep breath, as I closed my eyes, 

You don't want this, you don't want this, I kept repeating in my mind as my heart rate picked up, 

"You seem in distress miss Barton should I get Mr Maximoff for you?" The AI said 

"No, I'm fine," I said with ragged breathing, 

My breathing picking up faster, suddenly I fall to the floor slowly, and I'm back in Paris and I was fourteen again, 

                                             Flashback

While Pietro was away I tracked down a HYDRA cartel, and I followed them, they were kidnapping children,

I wasn't going to do anything about HYDRA anymore, but once I heard the rumors on the street it made my blood boil, 

I see a little girl about five years old blonde pigtails holding a teddy bear scared for her life, 

I pulled back my bow, hitting the man right in the throat making him fall to the ground dead, 

I zip line down to the ground, 

"Kill her!" The leaders said 

"Hide," I said to the little girl 

She ran, 

I knocked the gun out of the first man's hand pulling the knife out of his belt and slashed his throat, making him fall to the ground, 

the second man, shot at me but I ducked hitting his wrist with an arrow severing the nerve so he couldn't even pull the trigger even if he tried, then piecing his heart with a arrow making him fall to the ground, 

After killing each and everyone of the HYDRA men it left the leader, 

He backed up slowly, 

"Please.." He said 

"Please? how many time have you heard that from the children you took from their own beds and never granted any of them mercy," I said darkly 

"I'm.. I'm only following orders," He said clearly scared, 

I slowly walked towards him, 

"You and I both know that's not true," I said 

"Princess?" I hear

                             End Flashback 

I looked around, 

I felt someone tapping me on my cheek, 

I blinked a few times, and there stood Pietro kneeling in front of me concern all over his face, 

Sweat covered my forehead, 

"Hey, Hey, it's alright princess," He said cupping my face, 

"Pietro im afraid I'm going to do something I regret terribly," I said as tears welled up in my eyes, 

"What are you talking about princess?" He asked 

"About Eric, what if I do what I did in Paris," I said as I cried, 

"That's not going to happen, you are no longer like that, and even if you attempt to do that I will always be here to bring you back from the darkness," I he said 

"Do you understand princess, I am not going to lose you," He said helping me stand up, 

I nodded, 

He kissed me passionately, 

"Come you look exhausted princess," He said picking me up bridal style and taking us to our room,
