You opened your eyes halfway in a daze, your head foggy from the amazing night's sleep you had. You had not slept so good in a while, for you were sure you hadn't woken up once during the night. Lifting yourself up slightly, you squeezed your eyes shut hard, and then reopened them to look at your surroundings. That's right, Diego and you had stopped at an inn for the night, you talked with each other, and then...
Glancing to your side, you were met with Diego's sleeping face. You sighed to yourself happily, lowering yourself back onto his chest, gazing at him. It made you happy just to look at him. You stayed as still as possible, trying your best not to wake him up. One of his hands was still tangled in your hair, and you burned his moment into your memory. Your thoughts wandered to other things. What time was it?
Judging from the amount of light coming in from the windows, it was still a bit before you needed to get up. And even though you'd rather stay here, it was a good idea to get a head start on the day. Lifting yourself up again, you moved your body to the emptier side of the bed to get off.
Well, more like you attempted to. You could barely budge! Diego's grip on you was too strong, and now you realized that your legs were slightly tangled with his as well. Damn... you forgot Diego probably had enhanced strength from his stand ability. There was the option of simply waking him up, but you felt as though he wouldn't like to be seen in such a vulnerable state. So there was only one thing to do. Gently lying back down, you slowly and carefully rested your head on his chest again. It was still early - there was no harm in enjoying this peace a little more, right?
The warmth you were wrapped in made your eyelids droop once more, and you had fallen back into the land of dreams.

This time you were awoken by the soft pitter patter of rain, drumming against the windowsill. That was... odd. You didn't remember it raining the first time you woke up, but for some reason, you didn't pay any mind to it. The bed you were in was also unusually plush and soft, silky sheets pulled over you. But again, it felt normal to you. Ah... you felt so relaxed, as if you had no care in the world. You sat up, rubbing your eyes as you yawned.
"You're already awake, (Name)?"
The sudden voice made you jump in surprise. Quickly, your eyes darted to the source and you made eye contact with the familiar orbs you loved - that you were not expecting to see!
You moved your hand to your heart and gripped it in an attempt to slow it down. "Diego...?" your voice came out hoarser than you planned it to. Diego quirked an eyebrow at you.
"You look like you've seen a ghost. What's wrong?" His tone was playful, but you could tell that he was concerned. You didn't really know what was going on, but the last thing you wanted to do was worry Diego. (And wow, did he look highly attractive with his bed head.)
"Um... I just had a strange dream. It just spooked me a bit," you replied, lying on your side as you faced him. Diego didn't look very convinced but accepted your answer.
"Come here." You complied and scooched over to him, in which he wrapped his arms around you. "It is still early. Go back to sleep," he murmured, pressing a kiss onto your forehead.
You were so thankful you were lying down, otherwise you were sure you wouldn't be able to handle this softer version of Diego, and that kiss. Ah... this was all so wonderful but surreal, but you could care less. You followed his request and closed your eyes once more, giggling softly.
--
Diego cracked his eyes open, gazing at the bland ceiling. Another day, he thought. For once, he was reluctant to get up. The events of last night were still fresh in his mind. Speaking of you...
