CHAPTER THREE

Manya's POV

"Will you die single?" Amma screamed as she got to know I rejected yet another marriage proposal.

It's been  1 month from my health camp at Rajasthan and my mother started her same old drama of finding grooms for me.

"Do you think you will get married to a king? If you keep on rejecting every other proposal where should I go find a groom for you?" she shouted at me placing chapatis on dining table I didn't reply because I knew Appa is going to save me.

"Why do you always scold her? it's her life let her decide". Don't shout on my daughter "Appa said as I hugged him for supporting. Amma replied

"only you and your kids no one cares about  me or my opinion in this house " she stated looking at me and my brother. 

"Ji haan,ji ,ji zaroor. Aap tension Matt li jiye humari Puri family aapse Milne aayegi" [ sure ,don't worry our entire family will come to meet] Mom turned towards me as soon as she ended her phone call.

"Cancel all your appointments on next weekend we are going to Rajasthan" I raised my eyebrows.

  "Are we going on weekend trip? but Rajasthan is far I think we should go to lonavala" Manav said.

My mom gave him death glare and continued, " Royal family of Rajasthan wants Manya to become their daughter-in-law and we are paying visit on next weekend. No more arguments or questions your Appa is going to book tickets and that's final". She passed the order without my consent.

"Wait what Royal family? I will be daughter-in-law? Is some daily soap going on in my life?" I questioned myself and called my fire brigade for help to escape from this fire that was about to spread in my life.

" Ananya swaminathan your one and only best friend needs your help!" I said as soon as she received the call ". Stop your drama and say what the hell is going on?"

I repeated the same sentences what my mom had said earlier. She listened and didn't reply for a minute."Are you alive?" i asked.

"I am. Have you gone mad Manya!? A royal family wants you to be their DIL and you are asking for ideas to escape. Can you imagine your life once you are married to them. You will be surrounded by servants by jewels designer dresses. What else do you need in your life?" Ananya replied with an angry tone.

"Anu this is not the first time I am saying this to you. But listen my perspective in life is completely different. I don't need  someone's money nor  status. What I need is  self-respect. I am independent and I want to be independent even after my marriage. My career, my dreams are more important than Royal family. Byee " I hung up.

I was completely stressed since ananya didn't help me and made my find to visit Rajasthan for the fourth time!!
