Everything went well. I mean, our engagement. My family was happy Manya's family was happy but the only unhappy person here was Manya. She was a terrible actor. She couldn't even hide her emotions in front of everyone. She gave a fake smile but that smile contained tension, hesitation and I wanted to find the answer to all my questions. I decided no matter what happens I am going to seek answers to my questions and left the engagement hall and went to my room. I changed into nightwear, sleep was far beyond my thoughts. The terrifying, nervous face of Manya was coming in front of me whenever I tried to close my eyes. I didn't know when I drifted to sleep amidst my thoughts.
" bhaiyya wake up wake up" I felt some hand trying to move me.
" wake up we have to go to kuldevi ( family deity) " after continuous voices,
I woke up from my sleep. It was none other than my brothers Kunal and Shivam. Kunal was 25 and was married to Payal. They both liked each other during their school days. Both the families decided to marry them off early. Kunal completed his architecture and has done MBA from London now handling our construction businesses. Then comes my youngest cousin brother Shivam he is 5 years old. He is super cute. He and suman are siblings. They lost their parents 3 years ago when Shivam was 2 years old.
" bhaiya Badi ma Bhula rahi hai" (brother, aunt is calling you). Shivam said and went out of the room.
"It's your wedding bro get ready we are going to kuldevi then there will be 'Ganesh Stapana' pooja."
I nodded and went to get ready. For today my only goal is to know the truth of Manya and her behavior.
We reached the temple it is an old temple but for years or let's say for centuries we are worshiping and special pooja will be performed during Navratri. With us, manya's family also reached the temple. She was wearing an orange and blue mixed saree with no makeup on, free hairs, and looking stunning

She entered the temple and there was a smile on her face. Her family followed and stood beside us. Pandit performed pooja and gave us blessings.
" she is going to bring name and fame to this royal family," said Pandit all of them smiled broadly showing their 32 teeth. Manya gave a small smile.
" I can't believe that Manya di agreed to the marriage." Said, my sister-in-law Payal
" yes I thought she would never agree to marry after she left our house" said my sister Aradhana. "
don't you think Samar bhai's accident is good. Now look he is getting married to a girl who is fated in his destiny" said my younger sister Suman.
The other two just didn't react. " hello beautiful girls" I intruded into their conversation " what are you guys speaking about?" " looks like bhaiya can't resist himself after listening to bhabhi's name," said suman.
I smiled at her comment whereas Payal hit lightly on her shoulder. She pouted in her direction and I chuckled.
" nothing bhaiya we were speaking about how you guys are made for each other" she said
" like you and Kunal" I said in response. A blush appeared on her face. " by the way what happened after I left for a meeting that day?" I asked out of curiosity.
My sister Aradhana said what all happened when I was in the hospital. By this I got to know Manya is a career oriented girl. I turned back and was about to leave and saw Manya who was checking me out. She turned her face as soon as I saw her. A smirk appeared on my face.
We were about to leave my mom called me and Manya. " Samar and Manya wait!".
Manya's POV
Today we are going to visit the kuldevi temple. The same temple where I performed pooja to save Samar's life. Practically speaking I had performed surgery to save him🙃. I entered the temple to see Samar all good-looking. If this was normal marriage and I was not a broken mess , I swear to god I would have been the first person to say yes to this alliance before my parents 😅. We performed pooja and pandit told thag I was going to bring name and fame to the Royal family. I could see a broad smile on everyone's face. I too smiled a little. Then I saw Samar speaking to his sisters. He was very jovial with them and was laughing with them. I could clearly see his love towards his sisters.
I am not jealous. Even I have a brother who irritates me to hell but he loves me too. I was staring at him out when he suddenly turned towards me. He had caught me staring him how awkward 🤭. We were about to leave when my MIL called both of us. I walked towards her with Samar, keeping some distance from him.
"Samar and manya come in one car. I know you guys didn't get time, to know each other" she said and patted his shoulder. He gave a smile in assurance. I don't know what to say like a 10-year-old kid I turned towards my mom asking for her permission.
" don't worry beta your parents are okay with it" my MIL said and I nodded. My parents were giving 'it's-okay-smile' 🤭🤗😝.
And then there was Ananya who was giving me a teasing smile. " can we? " asked Samar and I shook my head in approval.
