Chapter Four

A few days had gone by. The duo decided to meet up at Dani's place to do their project. Sunoo stood on the porch and nervously rung the bell, waiting for anyone- specially her-to open. In a matter of seconds, the door flung open and a younger and male version of Dani appeared, "Hey. You must be Sunoo? My name's Daniel, Dabi's younger brother." He extended his  hand for Sunoo to shake which gladly shook, "Come in. Make yourself home." He let Sunoo in as he smiled entering the house. Their house was spacious. I don't think you'd consider it as a house, let's just say, it's a mansion.

Their house was well decorated and a glass chandelier was seen in the middle of the living room. Their walls were plain white filled with few family pictures.

"Oh? You're here?" Sunoo turned to the voice, only to see his soulmate wearing an apron. Sunoo wouldn't lie that he imagined waking up in the morning to see her cooking in the kitchen with little Sunoo running around. Sunoo waved and stood awkwardly next to Daniel. "Daniel, can you bring him to my room while I go grab some snacks?" Daniel showed Dani a thumbs-up and called Sunoo to follow him.

As they walked through halls, Sunoo looked at the family pictures that hanged on the walls. A smile crept up his face as he sees Dani's picture, "Here's her room... Dani should be here any minute." Sunoo shook his head, 'yes' and parted ways with Daniel.

Sunoo opened the door and was greeted with Hyacinth fragrance, one of Dani's favorite flower other than wolfsbane.  Her room stunned Sunoo. He thought her room would be extremely decorated like other girls he saw in movies. Her room were filled with band posters. He took notes.

He walked around her room, hoping to find something interesting about Dani. Sunoo happen to stumble upon a black-leather notebook on her desk. 'Why not take a peek...? I'm her soulmate after all.' But before he could feel the notebook, the door flung open and there, stood a smiling Dani holding a tray filled with desserts and drinks, "I wasn't sure what dessert and you'd like... but since I was baking earlier, I decided to have you try what I made. I hope you'll like it. Also, the drinks were made by Daniel." Sunoo smiled and thanked her by signing.

'Anything she'll make, obviously going to be delicious. She's my soulmate obviously'

Later on, they started working on their project and while they take a break, Sunoo would teach her basic sign-language which Dani enjoyed learning. 'Good thing I learned sign language for fun... Or I would've been doomed one day if she decided to learn sign language and I wouldn't understand it.'

"So, this is 'How are you?'" She copied his actions, taking notes and trying her best to remember them. The duo continued this pattern until it was time for Sunoo to go home. "Sunoo, thank you for teaching me a bit of sign language. I'll try learning it too during my free time and thank you for today." She spoke, signing the last part. Sunoo smiled and waved at her as he leaves. 'Today was fun and obviously didn't regret anything-.' Sunoo looked at his watch as his good mood was washed off him. He cursed at himself as he realizes the time. Deciding not wanting to get in trouble, he ran as fast as he could back home. "I'm glad my house isn't that far from here." He mumbled.

He ran inside his house and quickly make dinner for his mother. Succeeding, he plated the dishes and placed them nicely on the dinner table. He darted up to his room, changing as fast as he could, later on making himself comfortable on his maroon bed, dreaming of his one and only beautiful soulmate. 'No one's been bothering her lately... that's good.'

As time pass, his mother arrived home and ate her dinner. Surprisingly, she was in a good mood and there was no problem with her tonight. Satisfied with today, Sunoo drifted off to dreamland.

The days went on as usual, the same routine, the same work, same punishments for Sunoo but he couldn't care less since Sunoo was able to see Dani, not only during school hours but after school as well. The project was extended for another 2 weeks which made the duo happy without the other knowing.

The two sat where Sunoo usually have his lunch- under a tree in the school's garden. Their time with each other was interrupted when a female junior walked up to the duo. The girl smiled and politely asked whether she could have a private conversation with Dani. Sunoo wasn't pleased and thought, 'Can't she see we're busy spending time together? I have no choice but have another one on the list.'

Unfortunately, Dani agreed, reassuring Sunoo that it'll be quick. Sunoo sighed and watched her back as she disappeared to a corner with the girl.

Sunoo couldn't sit still and wait for Dani to come back. His gut couldn't leave her being gone with someone else other than him. He couldn't get off this weird feeling that was suffocating him so he followed her. He hid behind a wall. He took a peek and was displease with the scene in front of him. He couldn't hide the fact that he was disgusted hearing that girl voice, whose name was Kaye Park.

"Why don't I give you a gift for trying tonight...hmm Kaye?" A smirk crept up the lad's face.
