i thought i had posted this, but
maybe i forgot to. when
i was releasing disclaimers
for my other books, but it's better
late than never considering how
much people have liked this book.
i believe i started writing this book
in 2018. i was a relatively new writer,
with a lot of support and following
considering how many reads this book
got. i was also a kid, and did not know
much about the things i was talking
about.
this book glosses over topics like
self-harm, rape, and suicide. obviously
as shown in this book, i do not
romanticize them in any means, nor
did i encourage any of the following
behaviors. i had simply been writing
about events that had surrounded me
in my high school life without giving it
much thought. i didn't realize i had a
younger audience and was potentially
exposing them to something they
probably aren't at the maturity to
see yet, because it's scary.
also. if a guy persistently asks
for nudes, that is considered
harassment. i romanticized that
fact a LOT in this book which
was extremely ignorant of me.
do not think this behavior
is flirty or cute. it is not and
it happens to so many girls.
i wanted to create this post to
own up to the fact that i did do that,
and that i have gotten better. these
are not topics we can simply just
mention in books and not bring up
afterwards. there should be serious
conversations since this impacts
a lot of people, and can also
be very sensitive for some, so
i apologize for writing such things
without keeping that in mind. i
will do better.
with that said, this disclaimer is
being posted in the beginning of
the book so that new readers will
know that this story contains heavy
topics. i hope that the new readers
will take this disclaimer seriously
before reading.
i have not decided to remove
my story from this platform since
many enjoy it, but i also will not
hesitate to do so if it is triggering
to some individuals. your opinion
matters to me and i do not want
to ignore or be inconsiderate
if you guys.
