8 ~ brewing

You headed towards the potions classroom. You had your book clutched to your chest. Draco was already in the distance. You had no idea what to expect but you told yourself you were just going to go with the flow. He was talking to Astoria. She wasn't in your class so you had no idea why she was here.

'Hey love.' Draco smiled before he kissed your cheek and wrapped an arm around you.

You laid your head against him. Astoria seemed surprised and a little shocked.

'Hey. Did you sleep well?' You asked him.

'I did, you?'

'Of course.' You grinned.

'I-I got to go to my class. I'll see you later.' Astoria said before leaving.

You watched her leave. The door to the classroom opened. You headed inside and stood at a table. Today you were going to brew the potion.. or at least start brewing. There were some eyes on you guys. People who heard and saw what happened.

'Alright everyone, I will give all of you your reports back and you can commence the brewing. I wish you all the best of luck.'

You got your report back. It wasnt graded yet. You still had to brew. You skipped to the page with the recipe. Draco kissed the top of your head before he went ahead to grab the ingredients. You caught yourself smiling a little.

You started filling the cauldron with Potioning Water. You put it into a flame and brought it to a shimmer. Draco put down all the ingredients you needed.

'Good job.' Draco grinned. 'I'm surprised it didn't blow up yet.'

'Hey! I know how to brew, thank you very much.' You jokingly said.

Draco lavished and headed you the Vial of Ptolemy. You peeked St the recipe and added it with an anti-clockwise motion.

'Now we wait 10 minutes.'

Draco glanced past you. You had been feeling Pansys eyes on you since the start of the lesson. Draco noticed it too.

'Are you uncomfortable?' He asked you.

'A little.. but I'm not surprised so don't worry.'

'Ill fix it.' He said.

'No-'

But he already walked towards her. He leaned on her table.

'Can I help you? Not trying to cheat of our potion, are you?' He asked.

'No, I'm more interested in when you developed and interest in... that.' She sneered.

Draco looked at you. You looked away. Those kind of remarks always hurt you.

'First of all, that's Y/N. Second of all, jealous?' He asked with a cocky smile.

Pansy laughed loudly.

'Of her? Never.'

'Then why are you staring? If you're not jealous you shouldnt care.'

'I just thought you and Astoria-'

'Well you thought wrong.' Draco said. 'So keep your eyes on your own potions because it's overflowing.'

Pansy panicked as she looked at her cauldron. Draco walked back to you, grabbed you and gave you a small kiss.

'Stir Powdered Moonstone into the mixture one spoonful at a time, dissolving thoroughly.' You told him.

Draco grabbed the powdered moonstone while you started stiring. It took awhile but you eventually got everything in. You saw Slughorn passing by the tables. He stopped and stared at what you two were doing.

'Very well, keep it up. I knew you two would be a good team.'

You smiled. You always liked it when people said you were doing well. Especially during potions.

You grabbed the Adder's Fork and cut it length wise before you divided the tongues into halves. Draco grabbed all the pieces and dropped it in before raising the heat.

'Intense.' You laughed.

'Very.'

'Can you Stir again?' Draco asked.

You nodded. Draco started dropping in Jobberknoll Feathers. You had to Stir one time between each feather. As soon as they were all in you removed the cauldron from the flame while Draco crushed a Sopohorous bean and added it in.

'Let it cool then we can put it away.' Draco said.

'We did it!' You smiled with excitement. He laughed and gave you a high five. Slughorn stopped by.

'Very well. Let me get you a flask.'

He walked away. Draco pulled you into his arm. You hugged him back right away. His big arms felt safe. You could get used to this.

He let you go and took the flask. You filled it before he went off the put it away in a dark and cool location. In the meanwhile you started cleaning the table.

'Y/L.'

You turned around and looked at Pansy. You sighed right away.

'What's up?'

'I don't know what your deal is but he wont stay with you for too long. He will figure out where his heart belongs. With our friend.'

You chose to just ignore her and continue cleaning.

'I was talking to you.' She hissed.

'You act like I care.' You said before cleaning out the cauldron.

Before she could say another thing Draco was already back. He grabbed the report and your hand.

'Let's go.' He said. 'Slughorn said we could go seeing we finished.'

He took you out of the classroom where he stopped you.

'Why dont we go up to my room.' He smirked.
