~

You hung your head down as your shoulder hit the wall. You took a deep breath and hoped that they'd leave.

'Get out of the way. You're the biggest waste of space.'

You looked up and watched them walk away. You backed away from the wall and fixed your robes a little. This happened a lot so you didn't even bother.

You continued to walk to your classroom. You were always early these days. Draco was never be able to be ready to go when you were. He spend too much time looking in the mirror.

You stopped next to your potions class room and leaned against the wall. You looked around the corridor.

Everyone that passed you had to give you a glare. You grabbed your options back and decided to pay attention to that.

Recently you had just been putting all your time into studies. Just to have a distraction. Your grades had been skyrocketing while your social life was a complete mess. Suddenly someone slapped your book out of your hands.

'A disgrace and a nerd?' Pansy laughed.

You stepped forwards to pick up a book but she pushed you back. You slammed back against the wall with your back.

'Just face it, he's better off with Astoria right now. You're just making his life more difficult.'

'Oh shut up. You're so pathetic.' You sighed while pushing her hand away.

'Pathetic? At least I would be able to see that I'd be ruining everyone's life! All your friends are seen as losers because of you! Grace, Peter.. even Draco! He's dating a monster like you.'

She was seriously the dumbest person you had ever met. You pushed her aside and picked up your book.

'Have you forgotten, in that little brain of yours, that Draco was a death eater?! I have never been a death eater!'

'Your parents leaked ministry secrets that led to the fall of the ministry and the capture of many muggleborns!'

'Wow you've really done your investigation! Good job, little psycho if you ask me.' You sighed.

'Listen to me, Y/N. You know deep inside that you're making everyone in your life miserable. I feel bad for Draco that he need to deal with all those nasty comments he gets because of you. After finally being accepted.. After everything. You put him right back in that awful place where he always was.. unaccepted and a freak!'

Those words actually hurt. You turned your head and saw Draco heading towards you. When he saw that you were being talked to by Pansy, he started walking faster.

'Is that what you want? You want to isolate him? You want him all to yourself. He has nothing left because of you.'

'You're lying.' You snapped.

That reaction amused Pansy. She knew she was getting to you. Hurting you. Exactly what she wanted.

'You should've let him get his perfect life with Astoria. Then you wouldn't have ruined his life!'

'Leave her alone.' Draco hissed.

But when he saw the pain in your eyes, he knew he was too late.

'What did they say?' He asked.

You didn't say anything and just looked at him while you started tearing up. You heard Pansy and her friends laugh before walking into the classroom.

'What ever they said, it's not true.' He said. 'Nothing they say is true.'

You pushed your bag into his hands before walking away.

'Y/N!'

Draco headed after you. You started running through the almost empty corridor. Eventually Draco lost track of you. You leaned against a wall and catched your breath. Maybe they were right. You were a burden to everyone. Especially Draco.

-

'Where is Y/N?'

Grace looked up from her book.

'What?' She asked. 'How would we know?'

'She skipped potions because Pansy said something to her. I don't know what but she refused to tell me and ran off!'

Draco was more worried then angry. He you weren't the type of person to skip class.

'Really?' Peter asked.

'Yes. I thought maybe you'd know.'

'Did you check the library? She's been studying a lot recently.'

Draco walked away immediately. He almost ran into the library and looked around. He saw you all the way in corner of the library. Hidden away from everyone.

He walked over to you. You were fixated on your potions book and had about 4 other books about potions besides you. You were really going for that O..

'Y/N-'

'Can't talk. Busy.' You just said.

Your anxiety spiked as you felt your heart speed up from the stress of having to talk to Draco.

Draco sat down besides you and grabbed your hand but you pulled it away from him right away.

'Talk to me. What happened?' He asked.

'Why didn't you tell me?' You asked.

'Tell you what?' He asked.

'That you're being excluded again because of me. Just like before the war. You finally got accepted here for who you used to be and ik ruining your life.'

'Is that what she told you?' Draco asked.

'Yes. And you know what? She's right. You're all being judged for being friends with me. Maybe it's best if you guys stop hanging out with me. Astoria might also stop gossiping about me then. All our lives would be better.'

Draco looked at you. He couldn't believe this.

'I'm not being judged. No one bothers me Y/N. They only bother you. You're the one who's in pain because of this and I will make sure that ends.'

'I don't want you to get involved in this. Just let it go.'

Draco grabbed your face and pressed his lips against yours. You tried to pull yourself away but he wouldn't let you. He eventually pulled back at you looked at him.

'From today on, I'm walking you everywhere Y/N.'

'No, I want to be independent. I can do it on my own.'

'If you want to be independent you have to stop listening to Pansy's lies.'

You sighed and looked away from him.

'Promise me.'

'You know I can't.'

'Do it anyways.'

You looked back at him and just gave him a small nod. Draco smiled and grabbed a book from your pile.

'And now I will keep you company.'
