Things have been kind of awkward with Draco the past few days. I haven't been able to look at him. Even sitting across from him in the Great Hall I've kept my attention on anyone but him. If our friends have noticed they haven't mentioned it.

Fi looks at Apollo in disgust. "Do you ever stop eating?"

Apollo gives her a look. "What? I'm hungry."

"Where do you put it all?" I question.

Suddenly I can hear Umbridge yelling at someone, "Pardon me professor but what exactly are you insinuating?"

I can hear McGonagall respond, "I'm merely requesting that when it comes to my students you conform to the prescribed disciplinary practices."

My friends and I get up to see what is going on. McGonagall and Umbridge are standing on the stairs.

"So silly of me but it sounds like you're questioning my authority in my own classroom, Minerva," Umbridge states.

"Not at all Dolores, merely your medieval methods," McGonagall tells her.

"I am sorry, dear. But to question my practices is to question the ministry and by extension the minister himself. I am a tolerant woman but the one thing I will not stand for is disloyalty," Umbridge states.

McGonagall takes a step back in shock. "Disloyalty?"

Umbridge turns to face the crowd of students that have gathered around. "Things at Hogwarts are far worse than I feared. Cornelius will want to take immediate action."

I spot my brothers heading into the Great Hall. "Caden! Alden!"

They both stop and face me.

"You two are Gryffindor. Why was McGonagall accusing Umbridge of medieval disciplinary tactics?" Apollo asks.

"She gave Harry Potter detention," Alden tells us.

"We know that," Fi states.

"What did she do to him in detention?" I ask.

"She gave him a magic quill that carved words into the back of his hand instead of writing on paper," Caden explains.

I look at him in shock. "That woman is crazy."

"Everyone was pretty upset about it," Alden tells me.

"If that woman ever lays a finger on you tell me and it will be the last thing she ever does at Hogwarts," I assure.

"You know you're scary when you're angry," Alden tells me.

I let out a laugh. "Go eat breakfast."

Fi, Glinda, and I are sitting in the library. Glinda is studying while Fiona throws pieces of paper at some first year Gryffindors, and I sit in a chair not doing much of anything besides over thinking.

Glinda notices. "Jade are you alright?"

"Yeah. What's been up with you lately?" Fi asks.

"Draco and I... we... two weeks ago... when you guys went to Hogsmeade... we..." I stumble over my words.

"Spit it out," Fi tells me.

"We had sex," I whisper.

"You two...!" Fiona starts to shout.

I cover her mouth with my hand. "Yes and I would like to make sure the rest of the school doesn't hear about it." I take my hand off of her mouth.

"Sorry. But that... that is a big deal," Fi says.
