Mum rushes my siblings and I through King's Cross. We're running late again, as expected. Even if we're trying to get to Hogwarts we can't seem to get it together.

I push my luggage filled cart along the platform. Briar follows after me, followed by Caden and Alden, and then by Mum who has the hands of Marissa and Flora in her own. We stop just between platforms Nine and Ten. I smile slightly as I look at the wall.

My mum smiles. "Alright, hurry up. Oldest first." Everyone looks at me. "Let's go, Jade, we don't have all day."

I look at Caden. "We wouldn't be late if someone didn't lose their shoe."

"Oi," Caden quips.

"You'd think one shoe would be with the other but no instead it's outside," I remark.

I ignore anything else he says and run straight at the wall between platform Nine and Ten. I run right through it and onto Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. I smile slightly at the all too familiar sight. One by one the rest of my family comes running through the wall behind me.

"Come on now. The train will be leaving soon," Mum tells me.

I walk alongside the scarlet steam engine. Smoke from the engine drifts over the heads of the chattering crowd, while cats of every color wind here and there between their legs. Owls hoot to one another in a disgruntled sort of way over the babble and the scraping of heavy trunks. The first few carriages are already packed with students, some hanging out of the window to talk to their families, some fighting over seats.

Lee Jordan, a boy with dreadlocks, is surrounded by a small crowd. "Give us a look, Lee, go on."

He smiles at me as he holds the lid off of a box in his arms, and the people around him shriek and yell as something inside pokes out a long, hairy leg.

I push my cart down the platform stopping at an empty car.

"Jade!"

I look around and see Apollo and Lloyd walking towards me. After the whole Quidditch World cup fiasco they stayed another week before heading to Lloyd's for a while.

I smile slightly. "Look what the cat dragged in."

"It's nice to see you again boys," Mum says, "And under much better circumstances."

Apollo chuckles as he wraps his arm around Caden. "I thought this one here was going to wee in his trousers."

Caden knocks Apollo's arm off of him. "I'd like to meet someone who isn't afraid of Death Eaters.

I shake my head. "Alright. You two better get on the train. Save me a seat while I deposit the fresh meat."

Apollo chuckles. "Will do."

"Alright now. Please get your brothers on the train in one piece," Mum tells me.

I chuckle. "I promise you I will get them on the train. What they do after that is up to them."

My mum wraps me in a hug. "I'll see you for Christmas."

"I miss you already," I tell her.

After loading the trunks onto the train I lead Caden and Alden through the train car looking for an empty compartment.

"They're all full," Caden whines.

I smile as I grab a hold of a compartment door. "Time to make friends." Inside the compartment are two boys around the twins' age. "Are you lot first years?" I question.

One boy nods as the other says, "Yeah."

"Good." I smile as I grab my brothers and shove them into the compartment. "You four will be the best of friends." I hand each of my brothers a galleon. "Get yourselves something nice."
