Iris's POV
"Look out!" One of the guards screeched before I heard him fall to the ground, landing in a large heap beside me. I cried out as one of his feet landed on my temple. A wolf snarled at the alpha and the other guard. I coughed through my gag. When neither of them moved, there was a series of yaps between the two animals. They were definitely wolves.
I felt something cold and damp nudge my cheek. A nose! I grunted, trying desperately to communicate. The other wolf growled behind me, and the remaining guard cried out in pain.
The wolf beside me snarled, making me flinch. What was it trying to do? Well, as long as it wasn't going to rip me apart and eat me. I felt it's warm tongue lick my cheek, leaving small drops of saliva to drip down my face.
I heard the sudden harsh words of the alpha. "Take her and do what you want, she is nothing more than another filthy mouth to feed!" I cried into the gag as his steel-toed boot made contact with my spine. I tried to curl up into a smaller ball, but the pain in my abdomen prevented me from doing so.
The wolfs jaws snapped angrily in my ear. Then I felt it leave. No! Don't leave me! I wanted to scream. I need you. Alpha Weston screamed in pain and I heard him crumple to the ground.
But a moment later the wolf returned, this time in human form. His rough thumb rubbed my cheek gently. I sobbed gently as he caressed me. "Sshh," He whispered gently in my ear. "You're ok now, don't cry." But his words only made me sob harder. I slowly felt my conciseness began to leave my body. My eyes drifted shut behind the fabric.
I'm free. I'm finally free.
