It had been two weeks since Ben had started talking to Cassie. She thought he was just being polite to her because he'd got the wrong person, creating a bit of conversation so he didn't feel so rude. She expected him to have deleted her by the next day, but no. Ever since they'd started talking, Ben would come online everyday, just to ask her how she is, have a conversation with her, because they could talk about anything and everything together.
Cassie was a completely different person though to what everyone was used to her being like. She was happy everyday, always smiling, just generally more content, because she knew at the end of the day she would get to talk to Ben. Even though there was something in her that made her believe it could be a fake, she would be heart broken, but she had still fallen for whoever this person was, Ben or not.
Ben was surprised with himself as well, since he'd ended it with his fiance, he didn't think he'd be able to fall for anyone for a long while, but with Cassie it was different. He could actually talk to her about it and not feel like it was going to hurt him, not feeling like he was going to be judged, she was there for him. It wasn't only that though, he got on with her really well, it had become a part of his day to talk to her. He thought about her, a lot. Danny, Cameron, James and Sam were noticing a difference in him as well, he was less miserable and sulky, actually doing the band stuff instead of getting into a strop over something stupid.
It was a Sunday night, Cassie went up to her room, it was almost midnight and Ben still hadn't messaged her. She prossumed he was probably out, having a life, something she lacked in. Cassie closed her laptop, sighing, she had to be in work for nine tomorrow so she couldn't wait up all night for him.
Her phone pinged, she checked it, you have one new message on facebook. She clicked on it, sleepily, not really checking what it was. Even it was Ben, she wouldn't be able to talk to him.
Ben - I cant talk tonight, but whats your number?
Cassie smirked, leaving her number along with an x beside it. This was basically entering new territory for them both, she knew they wouldn't talk with them in future, but it looked nicer than leaving a simple phone number. She locked her phone, putting it beside her, going to sleep with a smile that night, maybe it wasn't the best decision giving her phone number to someone she had never met, but Cassie just couldn't care less.
*** CASSIE'S POV ***
I woke up from the sound of Ghost Town coming out of my phone. I turned over slightly, pressing dismiss on the screen and then lying there for a while, debating whether it was worth calling in sick or not, even though my boss wouldn't believe me anyway. It was half seven on a Monday morning and I really wasn't feeling like getting up at all.
Eventually though, I managed to climb out of bed and into the boiling hot shower, trying to remember whether I had ironed my work clothes last night or not. I'd soon find out anyway, depending whether I was ever going to bother getting out of this shower though. I finally did, wrapping a towel around my body and shivering to death, spraying my hair with heat protectent and then running into my room, trying not to wake anyone, even though I would anyway.
My clothes were ironed and ready, I got dressed in the simple black fitted lycra short pencil skirt with some shear black tights, a navy blue shirt tucked into the skirt and a black blazer. I topped the outfit off with some short heeled black stiletto's, I had to wear this outfit five days a week, and I despised it.
