That week turned out to be the slowest of Cassie's life, and she'd had some slow weeks. Although she was excited to finally meet the man she had been speaking to for over two weeks, she was also really nervous and scared for various reasons. She managed to get hold of a ticket to the gig before they were all sold out, she couldn't believe she was going there on her own either, she'd never met up with anyone alone before, it was so unsafe, even if there was a chance of it being someone she had fangirled over for years.
The texts between Cassie and Ben continued, they didn't really bother talking on facebook anymore, although Cassie still checked Ben's facebook every now and then, only a couple of pictures were posted, which were just of the guys on tour, and a few odd status' about it. She was tempted to ring the number she has been texting this whole time, but she was too afraid it wouldn't be him, she'd rather face the truth at the gig instead of through a phone call.
Eventually Saturday arrived, and Cassie was up early, not that she needed to be. She still hadn't told Nicole she was going out tonight, the first time she'd ever gone out on a Saturday night in what seemed like forever. She didn't want her sister to say she couldn't go alone, because she knew she would.
*** CASSIE'S POV ***
Sitting on my bed listening to Asking Alexandria way too loud, I held onto my ticket tightly, not believing I was really doing this tonight. I felt like a rebel, I know, a bit drastic, but I was going to a metalcore concert, not only on my own, but I was also planning on meeting a band member there, who could turn out to be a fake, rapist or a murderer.
But yeah, other than that I was feeling rather positive.
'Do you mind turning that down?' Nicole smirked, leaning against my door with her arms crossed, then she noticed the ticket, 'whats that?'
'Asking Alexandria ticket' I said, a grin appearing rapidly onto my face, 'its tonight'
'You didn't tell me you were planning on going out' Nicole frowned.
'I'm meeting someone there' I said, my mouth talking without any acknowledgement from my brain, 'one of the band members'
'You can't go on your own' she said, just as I suspected her to, 'its not safe'
'I'll be fine' I said, even though despite my excitement I was scared as fuck.
I tied my hair up into a messy bun as Nicole left my room, rolling her eyes at me, she was cool most of the time, but I hated how protective she got. I know its a normal thing, I just wished she'd be a bit more carefree with me, I really had to go tonight, and possibly meet Ben, and the thought of that was driving me crazy.
Ben - Can't wait to meet you tonight ;) I'll be outside about 30 minutes after the gig
Cassie - I can't wait either, you better not stand me up :P and okay
Ben - You know I wouldn't do that, I promise
I smirked, closing my phone and letting out a squeel of excitement, I couldn't believe this was finally happening. I got up, running over to my wardrobe, undecisive of what I was going to wear. I grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans, pulling them on quickly and grabbing a pair of scissors. I sat on the edge of my bed, grabbing a piece of the jean material and snipping it slightly with the scissors, ripping it so there was a small tear in the thigh, I did it a couple more times and the same on the other side, I smirked, the rips weren't massive but I liked them. I decided on wearing my black slightly destroyed combat boots, they suited the outfit better than converses.
Then came the dilemma of whether I should wear an Asking Alexandria shirt or something else, because if I did, I was supporting the band, but that would also just make me look like another fan there to get a picture and something signed. But, if I didn't wear it, then I would look like Im just there for Ben because we'd planned to meet up and I didn't really give a shit about the band.
