I wake up in the hospital. Two green eyes are staring at me. "Oh my god!" I scream. "Am I ok? Is Dream ok?"
"Yea, yea, relax." says Jack.
"The competition! Omg what am I going to do?" What if Dream is crippled? Then we can't compete. No no no no no!
"You're ok." Says a nurse in pink scrubs. "Just a scraped arm and a concussion. You're gonna live."
"And Dream?" I ask desperately. A man I didn't notice before stands.
"I'm the veterinarian taking care of your horse," he pauses, "Dream is fine. She is a bit scraped up but it will heal before the competition." I let out a sigh of relief. Then I turn to Jack.
"And why are you here?" I demand.
"Well I'm the knight in shining armor who rescued the poor maiden of course." He says with fake enthusiasm. He smirks.
"And I'm sure you find this all very amusing, knight." I glare.
"C'mon Sophie, I saved you didn't I?" He gives me a cut me a break look.
"Fine." I smile at him. "So," I turn to the vet. "When can Dream and I get back to training?"
"Give it a day, you both need rest." He says. The nurse nods in agreement. I let out a long sigh.
"Grrrr..." This is frustrating. But thank god we're both ok. I would be destroyed if we couldn't compete. But oh, I'm so tired and I bury my head in the itchy, hospital bed pillow.
