My mom calls me the next morning.

"Oh honey!" She gushes. "I wish I were with you! That must have been so scary sweetheart. Do you want to come home? You can come home right now. No one will be mad. We all understand."

"No!" Never. I will never give up my chance. I will not only be the best youth jumper in America, but I'll also get a full scholarship to the equine school of Michigan, where I'll be on the most prestigious equine team in the country, and I'll be close to home! And, I'll get a cash prize of 10,000! Giving up is just not and option. I will fight to the end.

That afternoon, I check out of the hospital and go to the stables where Dream is already waiting. I'm told that after a day of rest, she's doing much better and is ready to start jumping again.

I find her standing in her stall. She has scabs on her knees but acts peppy and excited when I slide her door open. I brush her silky hair and pet her as I apologize again and again for the trail incident.

After I get her ready, I start with a smooth walk to get her comfortable and then we start to jump. The scabs on her knees don't look to good, but she jumps with the same strength and steadiness as she did before. We do a couple jumps but we're both worn out from the days ahead and so I decide to go take a nap at the b&b and let Dream rest some more. I'd hate to open up her wounds again.

But as I head back I notice those same beautiful green eyes. We haven't talked since the hospital but right away I run over to him.

"Hi!" I say and smile flirtatiously.

"M'lady." He bows. I do a curtsy and stick my hand out. Jack kisses it. He's so hot.

"Whatch'ya doin'" I ask.

"Just getting ready to ride Belle." He replies. "How's Dream doing?"

"Good."

"How are you doing?"

"Fine. Just a little tired is all. I'm going to take a nap."

"Ok, well I was gonna ask if you would like to go get hot dogs with me tonight?"

"I'd be honored." I say with another curtsy.

I don't sleep at all. Instead I go shopping for a cute outfit to wear to my hot dog dinner!
