For almost 2 years I've been traveling to other cities and even states with Dream. Last year we place 5th in the National Junior Hunter Jumping Championship. I was devastated. It's my dream to win. I know I'm one of the best, but I want to be THE BEST! So Dream and I went back to White Meadows, and we trained every day of the week for a year. We went to out-of-state competitions and won every single one. I always made sure Dream looked the best and performed the best.
Now, we're going back to nationals. This is our year. Omg I'm so excited! I bought Dream a new saddle pad that has sequins and her name engraved in it. I got jet black riding boots and a matching saddle. We're headed to where the competition is being held in Traverse City in just 4 days! Then, I'll spend 2 weeks there getting ready and getting dream used to the arena. The next week will be show week and after I win first place, I'll go home and start preparing for next year!
And then there's Roxy. My little sister is also into horses. She's just as ambitious as I am. And she is going to nationals! She's 12 years old and has a horse named Adore. He's a black Friesan who has a shiny coat and a mane that Roxy can braid beautifully. Roxy might be competition if she had good form but she does not. So I'm still the one to beat. And I can't wait for the competition!
