After dropping my bags off at the b&b I head directly to the stables. I'm greeted by a short, stout, curly haired woman. "Hi I'm Carly." She says with a southern housewife accent. "And you must be Sophie, we spoke over the phone, right?"
"Yes m'am." I reply. She kept me on the phone for 2 hours straight. That woman talks nonstop. "Where's Dream?" I ask, eager to leave this conversation.
"Oh, she's just over there." She says, gestering to the left where a row of stalls is lined with all the most beautiful horses in the country that I will be competing against. I spot Dream right away. Even in a crowd of beautiful horses, her majestic features still stand out. But still, these horses are really pretty.
"How many other riders have arrived yet?" I hope I don't look to worried as I say this.
"Oh just about 20 but don't worry, the others will arrive shortly!" She exclaims. I gulp "others" what does she mean "others". 20 is plenty.
"I think I should go find Dream." I say, backing away. Before she can stop me, I run over to Dream and start brushing her coat.
Then I hear a voice say, "Hello."
