I took one step
Closer to the cliff.
My heart pounding
In my ears,
Like Zeus' thunder
Resonating in the sky.
Has the Cupid
Shot an arrow through
My heart, I wonder,
As I feel the alluring call
Of the ocean.
The waves crash with
The fury of a Kraken,
Lashing out
With all its might
Sending the debris of once majestic ships to the shore.
Who might have faced
Such an awful fate!
Was it Odessyus,
Trying to reach Ithaca,
Was it, Hercules
And his worthy companions
On their quest!
My heart goes out
To those who mourn
The death of dear ones,
Lost in the sea.
But like Poseidon and Neptune,
Like Greek and Rome,
The ocean has two faces.
Be one with
The calm ocean
And find peace.
Be one with
The violent ocean
And forever search for peace!
