The Embers of Fire

The embers of fire,

Never quenched

Of its thirst and lust,

Desired for more and more.

It signed everything

That dared to touch it.

It spread with a haste,

Covering the land

In a fiery embrace.

I see the coal and the ashes,

The remains of the carcass,

Lying on the charred land.

Vicious yet beautiful,

It consumed everything

Like a predator on its hunt.
