Corrine's Point of View
"Joining us today, the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines. May I call on, President Alejandro Andrada!" masayang sabi ng emcee at kasabay nun ang pagtayo ni President Andrada.

He approached the host and got the mic. He smiled before speaking, "Good afternoon, everyone. I am glad that I am here today with all of you, gentlemen. I'm glad to see each and everyone's faces. Some of you are kind of familiar to me and some are good friends. I am also happy na dinala ninyo ang mga pamilya ninyo ngayon. Later I will go there and meet you one by one."

The crowd applauded, including Theodore who's sitting beside me, smiling.

"Generals, I am extremely amazed by how the military's working up to this present time. I am proud to say that you all excel and that we are getting better and better. As a matter of fact, dumating na ang mga bagong military machineries and firearms sa ating bansa. Hindi na gaya ng dati. We have brand new aircrafts, brand new armoured fighting vehicles, military ambulances and many more," he continued, beaming and received another round of applause from the crowd. A louder one this time.

"And take note, uunahan ko na kayo, Soliders. Ayokong makakarinig sa kahit na sino sa inyo ang pasasalamatan ako dahil dito, understood?" he said, which made everyone silent. Walang sumagot. Nakita ko rin si Theo na mukhang hindi sang-ayon na hindi siya pasalamatan.

Bakit naman ayaw niyang pasalamatan siya? Yes, responsibilidad niya itong ginagawa niya, pero kasi lahat ng improvements ng bansa o ng kahit ano man, hindi makakamit if it weren't for his commendable leadership.

There are other leaders who have big responsibilities but they choose to ignore it.

And that's because?

Because they have the power to do so. Malalakas ang loob dahil alam nilang hindi sila mabubuking, at kung mabuking man, madadaan nila ito sa pera.

And the fact that the President himself is not like that is more than enough para pasalamatan siya. Isama mo pa na he's fair and that prioritizes what needs to be. His decision making is for the benefit of everyone.

"Am I understood?!" he repeated, stronger and louder.

"Sir, yes, Sir!" the soldiers replied, including Theodore who's sitting beside me and glancing from time to time. 'Di ko lang pinapansin pero nakikita ko.

"Good. Now, I don't want to take much of your time listening to me. Thank you, soldiers, Generals for having me here and my family. Enjoy the rest of this day!" he ended his speech and we all stood on our feet, clapping at him.

Nakita kong nilapitan siya ng anak niyang lalaki at maya-maya bumaba na sila.

"Mommy, Daddy, let's go to the buffet na, I'm hungry na eh," kinalabit ako ni Luna kaya napatingin kami ni Theo.

"Anak, gutom ka kaagad? Kakarating palang natin," I umbelievingly asked her.

"May bago pa ba?" Theo said, laughing.

"Let's go na, before the line gets even more longer," Luna stood up from her seat and pulled Theo and I to stand too.

Basta pagkain talaga, hindi magpapahuli.

Pumila na kami sa buffet and I saw the first couple and Uno, talking to Jada, Ileanna and Addie.

"Jada and Adriel looks good together. Bagay sila," I said all of a sudden, while watching them.
