Alpha Luca (work in progress!!)

Chapter twenty six

I couldn't fall asleep that night. I mean how could I? My mate just kissed me like nothing. The way he made me feel was something I would never forget.

It wasn't until that morning that I got to see just got bad the curse could be.

I took a shower and got ready for the day. After I got dressed, I made my way downstairs where I saw Luca sitting at the table on his phone.

"Good morning." I told him walking towards the fridge getting stuff out to make pancakes.

When I didn't get a response I figured maybe he didn't hear me. So I repeated myself.

"Good morning." I said again walking closer and tapping him on the shoulder.

"Don't you see I'm busy!" He snapped at me.

"Oh sorry." I replied walking back to the ingredients.

That was kinda weird I thought to myself.

"It's probably the curse." Said Daisy.

"Oh now you wanna talk to me?" I told her rolling my eyes mentally.

"Hey I was just letting you figure things out. "

Ignoring her I continued making the batter thinking about what she had said. I decided that if we wanted to make this work out, this is the Luca I was going to have to deal with.

Putting down the spatula I was using to mix the batter, I walked over to the table and took a seat next to him.

"Are you hungry?" I asked.

"I'm making pancakes."

"Did you not hear me before? I'm busy!" He replied with an eye roll.

"Whatever." I said standing up to continue making breakfast.

"What did you say?" He yelled.

"I said whatever. I don't have time for this." I replied turning around to look at him.

"So what that's it? Your giving up that quick? Some mate you are, I can't believe I ever agreed to this." He responded while standing up and leaving.

"You're one to talk. You don't know how hard it's gonna be for me to see you act this way." I replied with tears forming in my eyes.

"So now you're gonna cry again? You agreed to work in this to you know. Just crying all the time isn't gonna help."

"You just don't understand what it's like. You'll never understand how hard it's going to be for me."

"Whatever, just find me when you actually wanna work things out and not cry everytime I say something you don't wanna hear." He told me while walking out of the house.

Wiping my tears I made my way back to the kitchen.

"This is gonna be harder than we thought." Said Daisy.

"Yeah it is, but it'll be worth it." I replied.

After I finished breakfast I made my way to the pack house to try and look for Luca.

Once I got to the pack house, I started looking around. I tried to sniff him out but there were so many scents in the same place, I couldn't find his.

After searching around for a while, I found his scent where it was the strongest and made my way towards it. I walked for a while into the woods before I found him. He was sitting on a little bench near a river.

I made my way over to him and sat beside him. He looked up and then looked back down at the water.

"I'm sorry." He said. "For the way I acted this morning."

"You shouldn't  be the one apologizing, I was the one that took it to heart."

"But it's not okay, I-"

"It's fine Luca trust me." I cut him off while grabbing his hand.

"I knew what I was getting myself into when I agreed to work things out. I guess I was just caught off guard."

He didn't respond so I just stayed quiet. He squeezed my hand and look back at me again.

"Let me take you out." He told me with a small smile.

"L-like a date?" I asked looking away as I felt a blush growing on my face.

"Yeah a date. Just you and me."

"O-okay." I replied looking at him.

We both didn't say anything for a while, we just started looking into each other's eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" He asked quietly.

Not trusting my voice, I nodded my head yes.

Slowly, he leaned in closing his eyes as he connected our lips. Closing my eyes I enjoyed the small moment we had together before it was interrupted.

"Luca, Alpha Brock and that family are here to see you about they're missing pack mate." Said Liam as he walked up to the bench.

"Oh I'm so sorry." He added once he saw us.

"Did he just say Alpha Brock?" Asked Daisy.

"I-I think so." I responded slowly.

That's when I realized, I had never told him the truth about me, what pack I had come from and why I was there. The only person that knew was Liam. Once it had registered in my head who was here, I looked at Liam who was already looking at me with concern.

"I have to go. I'll see you later." I told Luca with slight panic in my voicing kissing his cheek hoping it would worry him less.

"Where are you going what's wrong?" He questioned grabbing my wrist so I couldn't leave.

"I-it's nothing I just don't feel well." I replied trying to get my wrist from his grip which tightened slightly when I tried to leave.

"Liam what's going on? Why are you looking at her like that ?" He asked.

"I think it's time you tell him Jade." Liam responded looking in my direction again.

"I-I can't." I replied feeling tears form in my eyes.

"He deserves to know. He told you his truth so now it's time to tell him yours." He replied.

I stopped struggling once I realized he was right.

"Will you be there with us. Please, I won't be able to tell him by myself."

"Of course just let me get them settled in. Luca take her to your house and help her calm down, I'll be there in a little bit." He told Luca before going back towards the pack house.

Sitting down on the bench again I stared at the floor feeling Luca let go of my wrist. Before I knew, I was sobbing into his chest as he held me close to him.

"I can't see them Luca please! Don't make me see them." I said through sobs.

"See who my love. No ones going to hurt you." He replied running his hands down my back.

"Alpha Brock and that family! Please Luca don't make me see them again!" I told him again crying out.

"Okay okay, let's just get you back to the house." He replied picking me up and making his way to our house.

How was I supposed to explain to him that they were the reason I ran away? That they were the reason I ever ended up here. Although when I first got here, Luca didn't notice the bruises on my body, it was different now. He cared for me and wanted to watch out for me.

Even though it's been a while since I've been here, I still have bruises and scars from their beatings. I Knew he was going to find out sooner or later, but I didn't think it would happen like this.
