Chapter thirty four

Jades  P.O.V

It was later in the evening at dinner when I decided to ask about the garden.

"So who takes care of the garden here?" I asked softly looking at him.

He stared at me in shock for a moment before replying.

"Oh the garden? No one anymore. I used to have a gardener come and fix everything but she was needed elsewhere on pack lands." He responded.

"Why?" He added.

"O-oh n-nothing just wondering." I responded shyly playing with my food.

"If your interested in it, it's all yours."He told me shrugging his shoulders.

"Really?! I can fix it up?" I asked excitedly.

"Of course. Anything for you my love." He told me looking at me lovingly.

Squealing slightly I stood up making my way over to him. Without thinking I sat myself in his lap giving him kisses.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I told him between kisses and hugs.

He sat there shocked before he smiled at me kissing me again.

Once I realized I what I was doing I froze.

"S-sorry I didn't meant to jump you like that." I told him before getting up to make my way back to my seat.

But before I could stand up, I was pulled back down by my waist back into his lap.

"Don't apologize my love." He responded before reaching over to pull my plate closer to us.

"A-are you sure Luca. I don't wanna be a bother." I added looking down with a blush on my face.

"I promise. It's nothing to worry about." He told me.

Nodding I turned slightly before finishing the rest of my food. I waited patiently for him to finish his food while we sat in silence.

Once he was done the stood up with me in his arms.

With a gasp I spoke out.

"Luca! What about the plates. They need to be cleaned!" I exclaimed while wrapping my arms around his neck so I wouldn't lean backwards.

"Don't worry about them darling. It's just you and me. Since the curse isn't active, I want to spend as much time with you as I can before something happens."

Nodding I agreed silently as he took up upstairs into his bedroom. Laying me down he excused himself before going into the bathroom.

Standing up from the bed I made my way to the window. Looking up at the stars I reflected on my new reality. Although it was still complicated I was happy.

Hearing the door open I turned around just to be greeted with a shirtless mate.

With widened eyes and a small gasp I quickly turned back around.

"Don't be shy my love." He told me coming closer and wrapping his arms around me.

Nodding my head slightly I looked back up at the stars. I couldn't believe this is I where was.

Not too long ago I was living the worst life ever. And now I'm finally happy.

Although we have to work through his curse and my "family" somehow being here, I know it'll work out in the end.

I leaned backwards into Lucas chest with a small smile on my face.

"What are you so happy about?" He asked nuzzling his face in my neck.
