Alpha Luca (work in progress!!)

Chapter thirty

When I woke up I stared up at the ceiling. Where was I? That's right. Last night I came into Lucas room last night. Looking to the left I saw him laying on his stomach facing me. Looking at him I admired the way he looked so peaceful when sleeping.

Without noticing I zoned out. I didn't realize until I saw him staring back at me. I blushed once I realized how close we were. Looking back up, I felt my face get hot with embarrassment.

"S-sorry, I didn't mean to be creepy or anything."  I told him.

"It's alright. Don't worry." He replied.

"Did you sleep good?" He asked sitting up rubbing his eyes.

It was then I noticed he was shirtless. Seeing this made me blush even more and I couldn't speak.

"Uhh... uhhh."

"Are you okay?" He asked with a smirk.

He knew what he was doing. And he was enjoying it.

"Umm y-yeah I'm okay." I responded sitting up.

"Thanks for last night." I told him looking down at my hands playing with the blanket.

"Of course. Anything for you." He responded grabbing my hand.

Looking up at him I smiled. He smiled back and leaned it for a kiss. I met him half way connecting our lips. We separated and just looked into each other's eyes.

"Are you hungry?" I asked getting out of the bed.

"Yeah sure I could eat something." He replied.

Getting up I made my way to my room to get dressed and ready for the day. After I got ready I made my way downstairs to the kitchen. After looking at everything Luca had I decided on pancakes.

Once I finished cooking I went back upstairs to let Luca know everything was done. When I got up to his room I saw him standing in front of the window looking outside.

"Luca." I said walking up to him placing my hand on his back.

"Don't touch me." He growled at me smacking my hand away.

I backed up confused. What happened. What did I do ?

"Luca are you okay?" I asked him trying I grab his hand.

"I said don't touch me!" He yelled getting in my face.

"Okay! Okay!" I replied holding up my hands in surrender.

"Well the foods ready whenever you want to eat." I told him walking back downstairs.

I made myself a plate and sat down at the table. I expect Luca to at least come down to eat but he didn't.

I sat there alone eating my breaking thinking about what I could've done. Was he mad at me for something? Did I do something wrong ?

"Its probably just the curse." Said Daisy.

"Yeah. . . You're right." I replied.

"Don't worry, he'll come around. We'll make him better one day."  She reassured me.

I nodded my head even though she couldn't see me. I mean she was probably right. It probably was the curse and one day we would make him better.

I got up and washed my plate and then made my way back upstairs. I made my way back to Lucas room to see how he was doing.

At first I didn't see him. Then I heard the shower running. I decided I would clean up his room a little and hoped it would cheer him up.

I started by picking up some clothes that were left on the floor and organizing things on his dresser. I then made my way over to the bed.

Just as I was about to finish I heard the door open. I then saw Luca standing there staring at me in just a towel. I quickly looked back down and continued to make the bed while my face turned beet red.

"What are you doing in here ?" He asked making his way to his dresser.

"Umm I was just cleaning up for you." I replied as I finished the bed.

"Did I ask you to do that? Because I don't remember asking you." He told me.

I was a little taken back by his words.

"Uhh n-no I just thought it would be nice." I replied looking down at my hands.

"Yeah sure. . . thanks I guess." He replied.

It got quiet for a moment, I felt tears gathering in my eyes.

"Um I think I'm just gonna go back to my room." I told him standing up.

"Yeah you do that. Go back to your room." He mocked me.

"Look I-I know this isn't you. . . And I know this curse it's making you do and say thi-." I was interrupted.

"The curse? You think how Im acting towards you is all just the curse?" He asked getting closer.

"W-well yeah you told me that we would get through this together." I replied.

"And you actually believed that? You believe that I would want someone like YOU?" He asked.

"Someone who couldn't even defend themselves? Someone who was basically a slave to their own family?" He scoffed.

"Yeah right. I would never want someone as weak as you." He told me going into the bathroom and slamming the door shut.

I was frozen in my spot. I didn't know what to do. Was that the curse talking? Or was that how he really felt about me?

I knew that everything he said was right, but he was also wrong. I was stronger now. Stronger than before and I was free now. Free from my family and all the hatred I had once endured. Or so I thought. Being hated my your own mate is way worse than everything I've ever experienced with my family.

I felt Lucas room slamming the door close. I went to my room closing the door and throwing myself into my bed.

I cried into my pillow for a while until I heard footsteps in the hallway. I tried to quiet down the best I could so that he wouldn't hear me. The footsteps didn't stop and continued down the hallway and down the stairs.

I didn't know where he was going but I decided to go to the garden. I quietly made my way downstairs and didn't see him anywhere. I could still smell his scent so I knew he was somewhere around the house.

As I made my way into the back yard I couldn't hold it in anymore. I broke down crying again in the garden falling to my knees. I didn't know what I was going to do. How was I going to make this work?

I heard footsteps behind me but I didn't care who it was at this point.

"Jade. Stand up. Get up off your knees and grow up." Someone told me. As I turned around I saw who it was.
