When you reach the age of 18, everyone is given a symbol of both of their arms.
One indicating your soulmate and the other, your enemy.
No one knows which is which but the simple fact that it's a risk no matter what.
But when George sits in his room alone at 12:01 and finally decides to lift his sleeves, he's met with the same symbol on both of his arms..
And that he's never met anyone else with the same symbol more less someone with their soulmate as their enemy.
