Dream's POV

"Dude, your phone is blowing up. Put it on silence or something god." Karl leaned his head back and groaned.

"It is.."

"Hailey Im guessing."

Dream nodded his head, Sapnap still focusing on the road in front of them.

"Just answer it and get it over with. I don't care if you don't want to hear from her right now but she hasn't done shit to you, if anything you're doing shit to her by acting like this."

"Shit.." Dream let out under his breath, barely a whisper yet everyone heard.

"What? What happened?" Nick turned his head towards Dream before facing back towards the road.

"It's hailey, she- she texted me something about George."

"Well what did she say?"Quackity and Karl both asked at the same time. "Jinx."

Dream didn't answer them but hit the call button on his phone.

Ringing.

And ringing.

And one last ring.

Before her number was spoken by the audio message.

"She didn't answer. God dammit." Dream slammed the phone into his thigh and threw his head back into the chair.

"She's working, you're probably catching her at a bad time."

"Yeah or shes pissed at me."

"I couldn't imagine why." Sapnap said sarcastically.

"Don't Nick." Dreams green eyes glared at Sapnap who didn't care to look back, not even in the mirror.

And that's when his phone went off one more time.

Hailey..

George's POV

"George? are you there?"

Without realizing, he'd stopped talking.

He forgot he was on the phone, and forgot why.

But then her voice brought him back.

Her voice reminded him why he was calling, why he was doing what he was doing.

Why folded up pieces of paper lay in the passenger seat, labeled with names of who he cares more for.

"Ye- yeah sorry. Could you tell Dream, to go to the place we first hung out? I know it sounds weird and so off but- "

"Yeah no, don't worry. I'll tell him for you. Is everything fine?"

"Yeah, just couldn't remember his number was all." He gave a fake chuckle.

"Oh, okay. I have to go now, have a good day George!"

And she hung up.

Leaving him alone in the car, the engine running and the air conditioning blowing in his face.

George drove back to Dreams place, hoping no one was home.

And thankfully by the time he arrived, no one was.

So he grabbed what he needed and left Dreams house key on a small picture on the kitchen table.

Again, he drove off after putting his bags into Dreams car.

Destination known, by him and him only.

Dream's POV

"Hello?" His hands were fidgeting with his hoodie string, leg was bouncing constantly.

"Hi, oh my god are you okay."

"What did George say."

"No good morning, no i love you. Just what did George need."

"Look Hailey, I'm sorry."

"No no, I understand. Read my messages but chose to ignore them, well it surly took you a few hours before actually realizing I was talking about George in one text."

Dream knew he was in the wrong. He treated George like shit and lost him.

He's treating Hailey like shit and he's going to lose her.

Treating his friends and dragging them down with him, he's bound to lose them too.

"George, all he told me was to tell you to go to the place where y'all first hung out. Whatever that mea- "

He hit the red button on his phone, placing it on his lap seconds later. "Sapnap, go to the restaurant where you brought me and George to talk. Where you introduced us."

"Did you really just hang up on her!?"

"Yep, now floor it."

"Why would he be here?" Karl asked as he got out of the car, shutting the door and interlocking his hands with Sapnap.

"I don't know." Dreams hands made his way towards his hair, running his fingers through it before heading to open the door.

No one was there besides one couple in the far back.

Otherwise, it was just workers.

One who started coming over when the four of them walked through the doors.

"You're George's friends right? He said someone like you would be coming."

"Like who?" Everyone asked at once.

"Like him," he pointed to Dream. "Tall, wavy blond hair, and not bad looking."

Dream only nodded his head.

"Well, he left this." He handed Dream a small bag.

It wasn't heavy but more on the lighter side.

"Thanks." Karl said before the four of them walked out of the door.

Dream opened it, seeing sheets of folded paper and a pair of keys.

"No."
