It was a late night, and the sun had set. The moon was visible, and Oliver was in his bed.
It was another sleepless night for him as he reflected on all the things he could've done to avoid the situations that swarmed his mind.
Nobody had been okay since Riley died and the twins were taken. Oliver buried himself in work, hoping that it would distract him from the never-ending pain. Tayler grew distant, leaving the house and not returning for days at a time. Archer remained locked up in his room and would only come out when it was time for school or dinner.
Kyler changed dramatically, he became enraged. He was no longer that happy, smiling boy who had left the day his mother and siblings had. Liam still tried his hardest to make everyone laugh or at least smile, but there were times when he needed to be alone.
Oliver dragged himself out of bed. He walked over to his nightstand and took up his phone, which kept constantly ringing. He wasn't surprised to see an unknown number calling because many of the people he worked with lived out of state.
"Hello?" he said as he picked up the phone.
"Hello sir, this is Barbara James from the 'County Police Department,' and I'd like to speak with Oliver Raines?"
"This is, matter of fact, him."
"Oh great, well I have some important news to tell you and I'd like to tell you in person, so could you please come down to the police station?"
Oliver's expression shifted in confusion. "Could you please tell me what's going on first?"
"Well, sir, we believe we have located your missing twins."
