This date night is different for the Bourgeois lovers. Work takes up most of their time, though they wouldn't trade any of it, but since falling deliriously in love most of their dates have been having quiet dinners with great conversation, gazing into each other's eyes and playing footsies under the table. Any time spent together is time that will be cherished forever, but they also agreed that they want to do something different. Something neither of them have done but truly believe they will enjoy. They put their thinking caps on then suddenly Larry's eyes go excited, his mouth falls open, giving that child-like innocence which warms Laurent's heart and makes him smile as he sweetly says, "tell me". In an equally excited tone he exclaimed, "the opera"! Laurent wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he knows he wasn't expecting that. The shock didn't take long to wear off because they're both lovers of music and operas tend to be love stories put to beautifully trained voices. Laurent agreed then he chuckled as he watched Larry take out his phone to check the date and time of the next opera and to also make sure it's one of love. It was meant to be when he saw a Saturday night adaptation of La Traviata, a love story that takes place in Paris, 1850. The tickets were purchased within 24 hours and the excitement in Larry's face everyday until the night of the show arrived was everything. Larry woke up this morning to a smiling Laurent who was holding a tray in hands with a croissant, fruit and orange juice breakfast. Instead of eating in bed Laurent joined him with his own plate out on their patio since the day was already so beautiful and the perfect temperature for an outdoor breakfast. The whole day was spent just kicking back and enjoying each other's company. Just as the sun was beginning to set they took a joint shower then got dressed in matching black suits. Laurent recently had his hair twisted and he pulled some back while letting the remaining twists drop to his shoulders. He was finished before Larry and with his hand in his pockets he patiently waited for him to emerge, and when he did he not only looked amazing in his suit but his glorious fro was pulled back into a puff and it nearly took Laurent's breath away. He didn't even realize that his mouth had fallen open and when Larry noticed he giggled then asked, "what"? Laurent couldn't get the words out because he was floored, but he eventually told him in the most sincere and sweetest voice, "you look beautiful bebe".  Larry smiled and thanked them, scanned him up and down before telling him that he looks beautiful himself. He then gets a look at the style of his twists, which he loves, then he tells him, "I know you like to switch up your style, but if you wore your hair like that everyday I wouldn't mind. It really shows your face and you're gorgeous, my love. Just gorgeous". Laurent blushed a bit as he shyly but adorably dropped his head as he thanked his love for such an endearing compliment. He then raised his head, extended his hand and in a gentle tone with a smile told him, "the opera awaits". Larry looked down at that hand and smiled as he looked back up at him then extended his hand for Laurent to take hold of it and gently pull him so they could leave...

Larry reserved box seats for them and upon arriving they were greeted with a smile then offered to be taken to their seats. The venue worker led the way so they joined hands to follow him. On the way, they looked at each other to smile as they were already enjoying their night out, but also knowing that this will be their first time at an opera, their excitement was also showing in their eyes. Once they arrived, the worker turned around to smile then used his hand to motion them to their seats and told them to enjoy the show. They were also provided a small set of theater binoculars just in case they needed them and as they waited they looked over the banister and noticed that the entire theater is jammed packed full of people waiting to delight in what's for sure to be a splendid night of beautiful music and story telling. When the curtains opened Larry's eyes lit up and it took several minutes for Laurent to join him in watching what was happening on that stage as it was such a joy to see his love getting so excited. He eventually turned his head to watch the show, and now it's in the middle of the final act. With each act they've been blown away. The storytelling is not only powerful, but the way the voices of these amazing singers have projected and echoed around the beautiful, historic edifice has been nothing short of amazing. As expected, emotions have been strong and tears couldn't help but build in Larry's eyes. Laurent looked over at him...those gorgeous eyes glossy but beautiful. He extends his hand to lightly squeeze Larry's who wastes no time squeezing back. The final note is hit then the curtains begin to slowly come in, and when they close everyone stands to their feet to applause and cheer. The curtains reopen and the stars of the show take a collective bow then wave to the crowd as they smile. Some humbly place both hands on their chest as they bow in complete gratitude and happiness that everyone enjoyed the show. Some of the cheering is being belted from Larry as a stray tear rolls down his cheek. The artists step back and the curtains close for the final time putting an end to this magical time. Larry turns to Laurent and he can't resist stepping forward to give him a hug. Onlookers can't help but smile as affection between two people after such a performance only makes sense. They pull away and Laurent smiles at his love as he tells him...
