A Special Christmas 2017 One Shot! 🎄🎁

A/N: Hey my loves. Since "What Makes a Family" was so well received I decided to write this one shot as a spin-off so Christian and Mia are back! Enjoy! :)  

AUTHOR'S POV

Laurent slides the key card in the door of the executive suite he's been staying in for the past week. As a doctor, he has medical conferences he has to attend throughout the year. He wouldn't have left his beautiful family around the holidays for any other reason. It's been a successful business trip but thankfully he only had one meeting lined up for today so he's officially done. He places his briefcase down then begins to unravel his tie as he takes a look at the clock on the desk which reads 12:20 pm. He told Larry what time his meeting was ending and they agreed to get on FaceTime. Larry's on Christmas vacation from his amazing career as a school teacher so he's been taking care of the kids for the most part but ever since their family came back into their lives mama has dropped by a few days to help. Laurent has a few minutes until it's time to see the face of the man he adores so he changes out of his suit into some lounge wear then grabs his phone and plops down on the bed. He's already smiling before he hits the button for his love and when Larry answers their eyes light up at the sight of each other...

Laurent: *smile* "Hey bebe". 

Larry: *smile* "Hey my love. How was your meeting"?

Laurent: "It was good". *laugh* "A little boring actually...but I'm glad to see you and I can't wait to see this sweet face close to mine". 

Larry: "This phone is not enough baby. I miss waking up to your face". 

Laurent: "You get to see it tomorrow". 

Larry: "I can't wait. I miss you so much".

Laurent: "I miss you too".  

In the background are the sounds of their sweet Christian. At only eight months he's soaring developmentally and he's still that happy boy who's always talking. Or at least trying to. Hearing such a sweet sound Laurent smiles wider...

Laurent: "I hear my sweet boy". 

Larry: *smile* "Hold on. I'll get him". 

Laurent nods through that warm smile and waits patiently to see that little face. Now on Larry's lap Laurent's heart melts at the beautiful way Larry tries to get him to look at the phone...

Larry: *smile* "Christian". *playful gasp* "Who's that"? *pause* "Look. Who is that"?

When Christian finally focuses on the screen and he sees Laurent he gets very excited and belts out, "da"! He starts waving his arms and clapping his tiny hands in excitement...

Laurent: *laugh* "Hey my sweet boy". 

Christian can hardly contain himself and his talking is beyond adorable. Laurent can't help but laugh while also melting into a puddle of baby goo. He smiles and asks, "where's your sister"? Of course Christian isn't at the full talking stage. Laurent is just being the playful and engaged papa he always is. Now little man is cackling out of control because he's so happy at who he sees. Larry eventually answers the question... 

Larry: *smile* "She's taking a nap". 

Laurent: "Oki. Well give my sleeping beauty a kiss for me". 

Larry: "I will baby". 

Laurent: "Thank you my love". 

Larry: "Welcome".
