On the Outs

Though beautifully bright and generating warmth like only the sun can it's the blaring of the alarm on Laurent's phone that wakes him up. The volume is high enough for him to hear but to not disturb his love whose beautiful sleeping face is next to him. Laurent is always up first as he begins each day with a workout to get those endorphins released so he feels energized to tackle his work day. He leans over to plant a soft kiss to his loves cheek then quietly slips out of bed and heads over to the bathroom. He turns on the water and waits a few moments for it to come to a temperature that's hot enough to fully wake him up but not scorching hot and hard to manage. He cups his hands and places them under the faucet to fill them then leans over the sink to splash his face before going into his morning grooming ritual. Afterward, he steps into the bedroom to head over to the dresser to change into some workout gear which consists of basketball shorts and an under armor shirt that hugs his body perfectly. Of course no workout gear would be complete without a pair of Jordan's so after putting on a pair of fresh socks he slides into them. He looks back at his love to make sure he hasn't woken him up then quietly stands up, grabs his phone to slide in his pocket then leaves the bedroom. On the way to his designated workout area he stops by Gracie's room to make sure she hasn't woken up before it's time. He smiles at her beautiful sleeping face then pushes forward to start his workout. To get the blood flowing he does some jumping jacks then goes into some stretching before getting to the grind of various exercises including killer ab work using the medicine ball where he holds it steady in the center as he twists his body from side to side. There's intense focus on his face as beads of sweat run down his face then drips off his chin. He looks at the time and he's been so focused that he hasn't realized that his love and their little love will be up soon. He finishes this time of training with push ups taking care to breathe in between. He's unaware that his sweet little Gracie is up now and standing at the opening of the living room watching him then she takes off towards him with gusto along with a big smile on her face. She jumps on his back causing Laurent to belt out a playful "aaaggh" as he flattens out on the floor prompting her to giggle...

Laurent: *smile* "You want to do push ups with papa"?

Gracie: *smile* "Yeah"!

Laurent softly chuckles then in a sing song voice he replies, "okiii. Hold ooon". Gracie delicately wraps her arms around his neck with her cheek resting on his back. As he pushes up and down her sweet laughter resounds. Laurent is smiling just listening to that adorable laughter and when he finishes the last one he flattens on the floor again...

Laurent: *smile* "Oki my love. Push ups are done". 

Gracie: *smile* "Horsey"! 

Laurent chuckles again and anything she requests he happily does for her so he raises up on his knees then begins crawling around as he makes horse sounds. Gracie's laughter is nonstop, and little do either of them know, Larry is in the background watching whilst playfully shaking his head and smiling as he thinks to himself, "these two". She and Laurent have been joined at the hip since she was born and as he watches them now he's remembering Gracie being only a few days old and watching Laurent rock her in the rocking chair as he fed her. He knew then that they would be a special pair. So many memories between then and now come to him as he watches with heart eyes. He could watch for far longer but it's time to get Gracie ready for school and breakfast prepared so he stops this sweet time with the same smile as he tells them, "oki you two". Gracie gets down then looks at Larry who's holding his hand out for her. She runs over to take hold of it but before they walk off he looks back at Laurent...

Larry: "I'll start breakfast after I get her ready".  

Laurent: "Don't worry for that bebe. I want to make a power shake so I'll cook breakfast".
