Amour et Famille

A/N: Hey guys. This one shot won't have a full love scene. Mostly cuteness, family, love and a beautiful moment between Larry and Laurent to close it out. Enjoy. :)

It's the end of another busy week. Larry is the perfect house husband who's taking care of he and Laurent's beautiful babies, all close in age so they can play together and experience the level of closeness of a big family as he and Laurent experienced growing up. They have one year old Leilani and the oldest girl, three year old Layla, who's an amazing big sister and helps take care of her siblings to the best of her ability. The last of the bunch are their eight month old twin boys, Liam and Lennox. They are so grateful that the adoption process for each of them was as smooth as silk and they can't imagine their lives without them. Earlier in the week Lennox was sick with a fever and cold, so as one can imagine, it's been difficult taking care of him and their other little ones while Laurent is working. To ensure baby Liam wouldn't get sick, but also for monitoring, he's slept in a separate bed in Larry and Laurent's bedroom since falling ill. He's finally better and has been back to his normal, bubbly sweet little self. Laurent should be home any minute now and Larry has been hard at work preparing dinner which is one of Laurent's favorites. A roasted chicken with a butter and herb mixture that Larry spread all over before placing it in the oven, melting potatoes that are cut into round chunks, also seasoned with butter and herbs then slow roasted alongside the turkey. The potato dish gets its name because of how they melt in one's mouth and are so tender they're cut into with ease. For greens, Larry also prepared oven roasted parmesan zucchini. Layla gets fresh green beans made for her as they're easier for her to eat but also ensures she gets her veggies. Larry bounces in between preparing dinner to checking on Liam and Lennox who are on the floor in the center of the living room and propped up by those boomerang shaped boppy pillows. They're absolutely adorable with their baby babble while doing typical baby things such as bringing toys to their mouths as discovery. Big sister Layla is next to them playing with her own toys and occasionally handing toys to her baby brothers. Once dinner is finished he prepares her plate then helps her wash her hands before placing her in a booster seat at the table so she can eat. Lelani has been napping in her crib but her sweet voice is now being heard over the baby monitor that's kept on the kitchen counter so he heads for her room. He walks over to her crib and looks down then smiles at that perfect little face. She smiles back as she cackles then kicks her legs in excitement. Larry picks her up and gives her a soft kiss to her forehead then makes his way back to the kitchen where he places her in her high chair. Her and the twins dinner will be mashed vegetables but for now she's ready for her bottle that she always gets upon waking up so Larry heads over to the kitchen counter to prepare that. He then hears Layla's adorable little voice who's been eating her dinner like a big girl...

Layla: "Papa"?

Larry: "Yes baby"?

Layla: "May I have some apple juice please"?

Larry: "Of course my love. Just as soon as I finish making your sister's bottle, oki"?

Layla: "Oki", she replies sweetly.

She picks up a green bean off of her plate and begins nibbling on it while Larry finishes preparing the bottle. When he's walking over to the high chair Lelani instantly gets excited and extends her arms while waving those tiny hands. Larry softly chuckles and she doesn't waste a second helping herself then he turns around to head for the cupboard to retrieve a Disney cup for the apple juice. He pours half a cup then takes it over to Layla who sweetly tells him. "merci papa" in which Larry replies, "de rien princesse". He then tells her that he's going to check on her brothers and to call for him when she's finished eating. Just as enters the living room he sees a toy flying at baby Liam from baby Lennox. It's a soft toy so it doesn't hurt him, but the shock of it hitting him in his face causes his mouth to fall open into the heartbreaking baby cry where no sound comes out for seconds then followed by a loud cry. Larry walks faster to get to him then squats down as he tells him, "it's oki baby. Your brother didn't mean it". He then looks at Lennox who's also crying now so he comforts him by also assuring him it's ok. Using his strong arms he scoops both of them up then walks over to the couch to have a sit and rock them back and forth as he softly coos them. They're both trying to wrap their arm around his neck as their little heads rest on each of his shoulders. He then hears Layla calling out for him meaning she's done with her dinner. He sweetly calls out, "I'll be right there baby". He also hears Lelani getting fussy which likely means she wants her dinner now. It's hectic moments like this where Larry has to take in a deep breath for being overwhelmed, but now he's hearing the home security system beep so Laurent is home. The instant he turns the corner Larry smiles at him in which Laurent smiles and winks back...
